The Honda Civic is a trusted stalwart in compact cars. Its name is synonymous with value, efficiency, safety, and practicality. Though the popular Civic is at the top of its game in 2024, is it still a good value? Let’s look at pricing for all trim levels and what you can expect to pay for a fully loaded 2024 Honda Civic sedan.

2024 Honda Civic Sedan trims, prices, and features

The 2024 Honda Civic sedan starts at $23,950. That gets you the LX base model. Power comes from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, rated for 158 hp and 138 lb-ft of torque. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) sends output to the front wheels. This setup earns an EPA-estimated 35 mpg combined.

Then there’s the LX. Standard features in this Honda Civic trim include 16-inch wheels, LED headlights, cloth seats, automatic climate control, a 7.0-inch color touchscreen, a USB port, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and push-button start. In addition, the standard Honda Sensing safety tech suite includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and traffic sign recognition.

Upgrading to the Sport trim ($25,550) keeps the base engine but adds more or upgraded features. They include 18-inch alloy wheels, a chrome exhaust finisher, black exterior trim, paddle shifters, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and remote start.

Next is the EX ($26,950). It packs a 180-hp turbocharged engine that returns up to 36 combined mpg. The more potent and efficient engine is a no-brainer if it fits your budget. Other standard features in the EX are 17-inch alloy wheels, a one-touch power moonroof, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and an eight-speaker audio system. This trim also adds blind-spot monitoring to the list of driver assists.

Is a fully loaded model worth the cost?

The Civic Touring is a good buy. With a starting price of a little over $30,000, the range-topping trim provides plenty of value for the money. Whether the aesthetic options are worth the cost depends on your taste. But a fully loaded 2024 Honda Civic Touring is an attractive alternative to an expensive compact luxury sedan.
