Tragically, Matthew Perry’s ownership of his treasured BMW Z8 wasn’t without drama. In 2001, a 75-year-old driver ran a stop sign and collided with Perry’s Z8 on the west side of LA, per ABC News. Fortunately, neither Perry nor the unnamed driver sustained injuries in the incident. However, the impact “badly damaged” the drop-top Bimmer.

What’s more, the 2001 BMW Z8 was so new at the time that it had dealer plates when authorities handled the scene of the motor vehicle accident (MVA). However, despite Perry’s past with illicit substances, authorities assured the public that “neither drugs nor alcohol were involved.” Still, it’s a shame Perry had such a heart-breaking start to his relationship with the striking BMW convertible. 

How much is a BMW Z8 worth?

The BMW Z8 has a typical sales price of around $209,889. However, values depend on the model year, condition, location, and title status. 

The appeal is plainly apparent. First, BMW built just 5,703 units for worldwide distribution. Moreover, Pierce Brosnan drove a silver Z8 in the 1999 James Bond movie, “The World Is Not Enough.” At its core, the Z8 is a V8-powered roadster with striking styling.
