The Jeep Wrangler Magneto Isn’t the Only Concept That’s Coming

The Jeep Wrangler Magneto seems to be popping up all over the place. But what is it? Magneto from X-Men can manipulate magnetic fields to control magnetic objects, but this Jeep Wrangler probably doesn’t have super mutant powers. What is the Jeep Wrangler Magneto?

The Jeep Wrangler Magneto could be an EV Wrangler concept. According to Motor 1, Jeep presented two new teasers that look like the front of Wranglers. However, one could be the Jeep Gladiator or Wrangler Rubicon 392.

Jeep is preparing for the annual Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, where off-roading concepts will gather. Some folks may have an electrifying time in an electric Jeep. We know this because one Jeep is expected to have a fully electric powertrain.

Stellantis filed a trademark for the name Magneto a while back. Plus, Jeep confirmed that it will debut an electric wrangler at the event. So, it’s safe to expect that the fully electric Wrangler will be named the Magneto.

How much power will the Wrangler Magneto have?

In the image of the orange concept, the Jeep looks very similar to the Rubicon 392. This has imaginations running wild. Will the Jeep Wrangler Magneto have tons of horsepower thanks to being a Hemi hybrid?

Jeep did mention that Moab will have powerful performance vehicles. This means that we may get to see more than just the new Magneto come out. Maybe the V8 engine will be put in a smaller two-door Jeep. Or perhaps the Jeep Wrangler 4xe will impress people with a winch and bead lock capable tires.

The Easter Jeep Safari in 2019 focused on Jeep Gladiator concepts, leaving people hungry for Wranglers. Then in 2020, the Moab event was canceled due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

But Jeep is back for 2021, baby! It will take place from March 27 through April 4. The Safari will feature concept vehicles created by Jeep and Mopar and showcase their off-roading power and adventurous lifestyle.

What about the Jeep Wrangler 4xe?

While the Jeep Wrangler Magneto sounds pretty cool, the 4xe hasn’t had enough time in the spotlight. Plus, we have to wait a few more weeks to learn about the Magneto. So, until then grove the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe a chance.

Heck, it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in six seconds, making it pretty fast. Only the Wrangler Rubicon 392 is faster with its ability to reach 60 mph in about 4.5 seconds. This means that the 4xe is the second-fastest Jeep.

The Wrangler 4xe is offered in the Sahara and Rubicon trims. It begins at around $49,490. It’s about $10,000 more than the gasoline-powered models but gets up to 25 miles of electric-only range to save fuel. It gets an estimated 50 MPGe.

It has a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that’s paired with a 17.0-kWh battery to provided 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. Plus, it has a two-speed transfer case that enables full-time four-wheel drive, solid Dana 44 axles, 10.8-inches of ground clearance, and the ability to ford up to 30-inches of water.
