In a World of SUVs, Mazda Continues to Build Great Cars

If you read enough car opinion sites, you might be thinking that SUVs and trucks are just better than any sedan on the market. While it’s true that Americans are buying more SUVs and trucks than sedans, it doesn’t mean that there aren’t any good sedans available. Here’s why Mazda’s sedans are the best on …

If you read enough car opinion sites, you might be thinking that SUVs and trucks are just better than any sedan on the market. While it’s true that Americans are buying more SUVs and trucks than sedans, it doesn’t mean that there aren’t any good sedans available. Here’s why Mazda’s sedans are the best on the market today.

As U.S. News said, this is the fifth year in a row that Mazda has won the best car brand award from U.S. News, and it’s due to the fact that Mazda’s three main sedan offerings, the Mazda3, the Mazda6, and the MX-5 Miata, are all great cars. Each one of those Mazda models is able to blend performance with interior quality, and that leads to a fun driving experience for its owners.

The Miata in particular is what U.S. News considers to be the benchmark for affordable sports cars. Not only is the Miata fast and great around corners, but it’s also stylish and affordable. The Miata is also a convertible, and as U.S. News said, it also has a lot of comfort and convenience features.

Because the Miata is a sports car, it does cost the most out of the three Mazdas that U.S. News talked about. However, for its starting price tag of about $26,500, Miata owners can get a lot of bang for their buck due to how great the vehicle is.

The Mazda3 was recently redesigned in 2019, and as a result, U.S. News says that it’s now one of the best compact cars on the market. Just like the Miata, the Mazda3 has a lot to offer to its owners. Not only does it have a smooth and comfortable ride, but U.S. News also says that Mazda offers front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive for it, which is not very common in its segment.

On top of that, if cargo room is something you want, then Mazda also offers a hatchback version of the Mazda3. This will give the Mazda3 more space without hurting its athletic qualities. And, just like the Miata, the Mazda3’s starting price tag of about $21,500 also includes a lot of comfort and convenience features.

Like U.S. News said, the interior quality of these Mazda cars is actually so great that it’s very similar to what a luxury sedan offers. The Mazda3 is no different, and like the Miata, the Mazda3 has very comfortable seats as well as a very easy to use infotainment system.

The Mazda6 is a bigger and more powerful option

The Mazda6 isn’t all that different than the Mazda3 in many respects. The Mazda6 is also a very comfortable car that has a great interior as well as great performance figures. That said, the Mazda6 is a midsize sedan, so it’s bigger than the Mazda3. But, if the Mazda6 isn’t big enough for you, then just like the Mazda3, the Mazda6 also has a hatchback option that will add more space to the car.

Furthermore, the Mazda6 can be equipped with a turbocharged engine, and U.S. News says that option will make it one of the most athletic sedans in its class. The Mazda6’s turbocharged four-cylinder engine will generate about 227 hp compared to the standard four-cylinder engine’s 187 hp. The Mazda6 does cost more than the Mazda3, though. It starts at about $24,000, but, like its other Mazda counterparts, the Mazda6 offers a lot of bang for your buck.

No matter which Mazda car you choose, U.S. News says that Mazda offers a lot of options that will satisfy almost any customer, and all at an affordable price.
