The 2024 Jeep Compass is one of the smallest and most affordable SUVs in the Jeep lineup. It takes genuine Jeep character and packages it as a practical subcompact SUV. It’s right at home in daily driving duties, but it’s also one of the most capable off-roaders in its class.

Although it’s showing its age compared to more modern rivals in this class, the Jeep Compass has a rugged appeal. Let’s look at the cost of the Jeep Compass and what you can expect to pay for a fully loaded example.

How much does the 2024 Jeep Compass cost?

The 2024 Jeep Compass has a starting MSRP of $28,400. That gets you the base Sport trim. The standard powertrain in the Compass is a turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 200 hp and 221 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive comes standard on every model.

Other standard features in the Sport trim include LED headlights, 17-inch aluminum wheels, a Uconnect infotainment system with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM, and the basics you would expect on any new car, like air conditioning and cruise control.

Standard safety tech features include automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and a backup camera.

The nicer Latitude trim starts at $33,265 and adds many nice features to the Compass. It has automatic high beams, fog lights, LED interior lighting, roof rails, premium cloth and vinyl seating, a faux leather steering wheel, a leather-wrapped shift knob, a passive entry and lock system, and a vehicle information screen.

A Latitude Lux trim is available for $34,990 and further adds 18-inch wheels, leatherette seats (heated in front), a power driver’s seat, and remote start. There’s also an Altitude model for $34,565, which is essentially an appearance package for the Latitude trim.

Starting at $36,245, the Limited trim makes the humble Compass a more premium SUV. It has 18-inch diamond-cut wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, rear parking sensors, an auto-dimming mirror, and more options.

The Trail Rated Jeep Compass Trailhawk starting at $35,745, is one of the best off-roaders in its class. In addition to a rugged appearance package, it adds the Active Drive AWD system with a Rock drive mode, an off-road suspension system, off-road tires, and hill descent control. Other than those off-road upgrades, it’s equipped similarly to the Limited trim.

How much does a fully loaded 2024 Jeep Compass cost?

The High Altitude trim starts at $39,240, and the (RED) trim begins at $39,515. Although the (RED) model has a higher starting price, the High Altitude trim gets pricier when fully loaded.

The Compass High Altitude builds on the Limited trim by adding an appearance package similar to the Altitude package for the Latitude trim. Additionally, it comes with 19-inch wheels, bi-function LED projector headlights, premium LED fog lights and taillights, a panoramic sunroof, navigation, an Alpine premium audio system, and a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster.

The Elite Interior Group High Altitude ($2,275) with leather seats, a memory driver’s seat, a power front passenger seat, a hands-free power liftgate, and a reversible cargo mat. There’s also a Driver Assist Group ($3,275) adding safety tech features like a 360-degree camera, the Active Driving Assist semi-autonomous driving system, front and rear parking sensors, autonomous parking assist, and traffic sign recognition. It also throws in a wireless charging pad and a universal garage door opener.

When you add both option packages and one of the premium paint options ($595), the total for a fully loaded Jeep Compass comes out to $46,980. That includes the $1,595 destination charge that comes with all Compass models.

Is the fully loaded 2024 Jeep Compass worth it?

A fully loaded Compass is a nice little SUV, but it’s a little hard to justify for over $45,000. That crosses into the pricing territory of the midsize Grand Cherokee, a bigger, more modern, and more capable SUV.
