It was at the age of 40 when Paul Walker was involved in the fatal car accident while driving his Porsche Carrera GT. The actor is best known as part of the Fast and Furious franchise, but he is also known for his impressive collection of cars and motorcycles.

Nearly six years after his passing, Paul Walker’s car collection will be up for sale at the 2020 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction. There will be plenty of variety, as Paul Walker collected a wide range of cars including a large collection of BMW M3s, a 2013 Ford Mustang Boss 302S, and even a 1963 Chevrolet Nova Wagon.

Fans are excited to see exactly what cars the late star owned, and auto enthusiasts are even more excited for the opportunity to purchase a rare, vintage collectible or the movie car that appeared in Fast Five – the 2009 Nissan 370Z.

Paul Walker’s career

Only part of Paul Walker’s car collection is headed to auction, 21 cars to be precise. These include seven BMW M3s, a 1989 Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R race car, and a 2000 Audi S4.

While you may think an Audi S4 looks out of place in the midst of his other super-fast and super-elegant autos, actually the Audi S4 is a compact sedan, that’s a lot of fun to drive with a twin-turbocharged 250-horsepower 30-valve DOHC V-6. Just like Paul Walker’s career, his car collection is just as diverse.

Just in case you were not a Fast and Furious fan, you probably saw Paul Walker in the television soap opera The Young and the Restless in the early 1990s or in one of his highly praised performances in Joy Ride (2001), Into the Blue (2005), and Running Scared (2006).

But it was his role as Brian O’Connor playing alongside Vin Diesel and Tyrese Gibson in the Fast and Furious movies that bought him super-stardom recognition.

Paul Walker’s rare collectibles to be sold

1995 BMW M3 E36 Lightweight

To shave 225 pounds off a standard BMW M3, this lightweight sports car features aluminum doors, forged alloy wheels, carbon-fiber trim, and no sound deadening or comfort equipment.

A lightweight, 1995 BMW M3 is pretty rare in the U.S. with only 60 of the track-focused E36s being sold in America. Paul Walker owned 5 of these! Auction bids of up to $150,000 are not uncommon for this automobile, and since it has a famous owner – expect his collection of BMW M2s to sell for over $100,000 — each.

1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Wagon

There exists a rabid group of subset collectors that go for nostalgia over horsepower — and the ’64 Chevy Chevelle Wagon is a favorite, classic for auto collectors.

The 2-door station wagon body style was just one of five offerings that year which also featured the more common 2-door sedan (Chevelle Malibu) which typically are converted into loud and powerful street roadsters. But the Chevelle Wagon is simply a blast-from-the-past, classic car.

1967 Chevrolet II Nova

The ’67 Chevy Nova was once a forgotten car. Today it is a showpiece in the classic car kingdom and is often used as the base for customized, vintage hot rods.

Whether souped-up or true to form, Paul Walker’s Chevy II Nova may have the original 327 small block engine with a four-speed straight off the assembly line. No doubt, the leather bucket seats and chrome trim will be impeccable, which makes for an valuable addition to anyone’s BMW M3 or classic car collection.

The rest of the collection

Some of the other cars featured in Paul Walker’s auto collection include:

  • 1988 BMW M3 E30
  • 1989 Nissan R32 Skyline Race Car
  • 1991 BMW M3 E30 Coupe
  • 2003 Ford F250 Pickup
  • 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 Pickup
  • 2006 Toyota Tundra Pickup
  • 2009 Nissan 370Z
  • 2013 Ford Mustang Boss 302S Race Car

Obviously, many of the Fast and Furious fans are also car enthusiasts. This means that getting an inside look at the beloved car collection of Paul Walke is double satisfaction.

One thing is for sure, when the iconic collection hits the auction block in January of 2020, it’s almost certain the 2009 Nissan 370Z that was used in the filming of Fast Five will get a lot of attention.
