There’s no end to how monstrous tracks can get. Why go for the Raptor when the Ford VelociRaptor 6×6 is available? Perhaps the Ford Velociraptor 6×6 is too big, but to some, bigger is always better.

What is the Ford VelociRaptor 6×6?

The Ford VelociRaptor 6×6 is another beastly creation by Hennessey Performance. Hennsary shared that the Hennessey VelociRaptor is the ultimate Ford Raptor in the most American way possible.

It’s bigger, longer, taller, has more power, more noise, and plenty of everything. The Raptor platform is significantly extended with a third axle and a ginormous flatbed in the rear.

The VelociRaptor 6×6 starts with upgraded power. It cranks out 558 hp at 5,100 rpm and 672 lb-ft of torque at 3,500 RPM.

It rides on six 20-inch wheels wrapped in off-roading tires and has 6×6 rear locking axles. The upgraded Bilstein suspension provides a smooth and comfortable ride despite the massive upgrades.

To keep things cool there is a high air-flow induction system and air-to-air front-mounted intercooler upgrade. Brembo six-piston brakes bring this monstrosity to a stop.

There’s also a stainless steel catback exhaust system, an engine management computer software upgrade, and all the necessary gaskets and fluids.

Unique VelociRapor front and rear bumpers draw the eye, and you get LED headlights. Hennessey and VelociRaptor exterior badging let people know what you got.

Hennessey WeatherTech floormats protect the interior and serial numbered engine bay plaques complete the build.

Each VelociRaptor truck benefits from a professional installation, chassis dyno calibration, testing, and 500 miles of road testing. It also has a three-year 36,000-mile warranty.

How does the VelociRaptor 6×6 compare to the Ford Raptor?

Well, for one thing, the Ford VelociRaptor 6×6 has six wheels, and the Ford Raptor only has four, excluding the spare tire.

Also, the regular Raptor has a turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine with 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque.

The VelociRaptor may be limited to under 300 models and starts at $499,999. The regular Raptor starts at $78,330.

Also, the Ford F-150 Raptor gets an EPA-estimated 14 mpg in the city and up to 18 mpg on the highway. I bet the VelociRaptor 6×6 gets a lower mpg rating.

There is currently one VelociRaptor for sale on the Hennessey site, but there are multiple Ford F-150 Raptor models located near me in Asheville. Meaning, I could get one today.

The sale is pending for the 6×6 model listed online, so if the buyer doesn’t come through, you could snag it. Otherwise, you must fill out an inquiry form for your build.

Also, the upgrades caused the VelociRaptor to crest 6,000 lbs because the upgrades weigh 1,000 lbs. It’s unclear how much it can tow and haul. The regular Raptor weighs 5,836 lbs. It can tow up to 8,200 lbs and can carry a payload of up to 1,487 lbs.

The decision between the regular Raptor and VelociRaptor 6×6 may come down to pricing, availability, and how much you think size matters.
