Ferrari’s first-ever SUV model is officially in production. The Italian luxury automaker is known for manufacturing supercars with amazing performance specs. Supercars can be cramped and uncomfortable for drivers. The Ferrari Purosangue SUV combines supercar performance with the practicality of an SUV model. It’s an SUV designed for the world’s elite. The Ferrari SUV has officially arrived in showrooms in the United Kingdom. Here’s how much the innovative new SUV costs.

The Ferrari SUV’s UK pricing has been revealed

Ferrari has gradually released information about its new SUV. Now, the Purosangue finally made its first showroom appearance. According to Motor1, the 2023 Ferrari Purosangue has a starting price of 313,000 pounds. That’s the equivalent of $385,000 based on the current exchange rate. So, estimates of a $400K starting price aren’t very far off.

There’s no telling exactly what the 2023 Ferrari Purosangue will cost in the United States, but it’s likely to be close to $400,000 after taxes and fees based on the model that just entered a London showroom. A starting price that high may seem obscene to some consumers, but the luxury performance SUV’s V12 engine and amazing specs will justify its price to many buyers (that can afford such an expensive SUV).

What is the Ferrari SUV’s greatest rival?

The upscale performance SUV space is becoming more competitive as automakers realize there’s a market for SUVs with lavish features and quick acceleration. The Ferrari Purosangue aims to eclipse many competitors, but its greatest rival is the Lamborghini Urus Performante.

Lamborghini has been producing an SUV since 2018. The Urus is considered the first “super SUV” by many auto enthusiasts. Other brands have created similar nameplates, but few hold the same prestige as Lamborghini.

Now, Lamborghini has developed an even more powerful version of the Urus, the Lamborghini Urus Performante. MotorTrend claims that the 2023 Lamborghini Urus Performante will start at $260,676. It uses a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine to make 657 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. The Purosangue is more powerful, but Lamborghini’s new SUV is still incredibly quick. It’s also much more affordable.

Is the Ferrari Purosangue better than the Lamborghini Urus Performante?

The Ferrari Purosangue and Lamborghini Urus Performante are both incredible SUVs. That being said, the Purosangue has a clear advantage thanks to its naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine. The Purosangue is one of the few SUVs on that market to use a V12 other than Rolls Royce SUVs. It makes a whopping 715 horsepower.

Ferrari claims that the Purosangue should be able to go from 0-60 miles per hour in under 3.3 seconds. According to Forbes, the Urus currently holds the title of fastest SUV in the world. The Urus Performante is even faster. Once the Purosangue is thoroughly tested, it should easily take the title of fastest SUV from Lamborghini.

The 2023 Purosangue has officially opened Pandora’s Box in the SUV space. Its insane power output proves that SUVs can be as fast, if not faster than supercars. The gloves are off and a new age of automotive engineering has begun. The Ferrari SUV has the potential to be the most impactful release of the upcoming year.
