Why would someone buy a factory-lifted pickup truck or SUV? There doesn’t seem to be a good reason not to. One of the significant advantages of purchasing a lifted pickup truck or SUV from the factory is that the new car warranty covers it. Plus, it is a little easier just to order an already-lifted vehicle and be on your way.

Kelley Blue Book went over the ins and outs of factory-lifted trucks recently. Did you know the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk has a 2.9-inch lift over the standard Grand Cherokee? That’s the highest lift from the factory out of any truck. The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk will run you $38,390, just $3,495 more expensive than the standard version.

The 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor gets a 2.6-inch lift (when equipped with 35-inch tires) over the standard F-150. Ford’s Raptor also gets upgraded suspension and plenty of other features for the $70,555 price tag. Your everyday 2022 Ford F-150 XL starts at $31,520, which is quite a big difference for 2.6-inches of lift.

Buying one of these factory-lifted pickup trucks and SUVs might cost a little extra upfront, but hopefully, the warranty helps cover any minor issues that pop up.

The Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 is a factory-lifted pickup truck

If you are looking for a factory-lifted truck, the 2022 Ram TRX adds 2.0 inches of lift over the regular 2022 Ram 1500 pickup truck. Ram increased the price of the TRX by $6,500 this year, which means the 2022 version starts at $76,880. The standard Ram 1500 starts at $36,500.

Buyers interested in the 2022 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 pickup truck will be happy to know it has a 1.9-inch lift over the standard Colorado 4×4 Crew Cab. The standard 2022 Chevy Colorado pickup truck will cost $25,200, but the ZR2 starts at $42,550. You also get an off-road suspension, a multimatic DSSV damping system, and more.

Check out the Ford Ranger truck if you need a boost

For those who want a 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro, this will give buyers an extra 1.5 inches front and 0.5 inches in the rear over the standard Tacoma. People love the Tacoma, and the extra lift is a secondary benefit for this pickup truck.

People love the 2022 Ford Ranger Tremor, and it happens to be a factory-lifted truck. The Tremor gets a smaller lift of 0.8 inches over the standard Ranger. Still, that offers more clearance than a regular pickup truck for whatever you might need it for.

You don’t have to buy a factory-lifted truck or SUV, but it is a good halfway point for some people. If you can install a lift on your own, that’s always an option. These are some of the pros and cons of buying a lifted pickup truck, if you are going to be in the market anytime soon.
