If you’re interested in getting a Ford F-150 Raptor R, don’t blink. If you do, you could miss your chance this year. This is the most powerful Ford truck ever, and drivers are excited. Finding the right 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R model without a significant markup could be challenging.

Can you order the 2023 Ford Raptor R?

Yes, you can order the 2023 Ford Raptor R, but not through Ford. You may need to contact your local Ford dealership to submit your order. It’s unclear if the 2023 Raptor R is sold out yet, but the order banks for the 2024 model are open.

There might only be dealership allocations left for the 2023 model. This could be why we’re seeing incredibly high markups. Well, that is if you can find the Raptor R at all. The Ford Raptor R has an MSRP of $109,145 with a $1,795 destination fee.

According to Fox, some dealerships are adding a $50,000 markup to available inventory. Now we’re going above $160,000 after the destination fee. That’s the price of a very tiny home outside the city!

But one recent model on the Cars and Bids website only sold for $151,000. That’s a whole $9,000 in savings. It’s unclear how many Raptor R models have sold, but it currently accounts for 45% of Raptor sales.

How long is the Ford F-150 Raptor R wait time?

The average 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R wait time could be between 188 days to a year. It takes about 188 days for Ford trucks to be built and delivered. However, production of the Raptor R started in the fall of 2022.

So, some lucky owners should be getting their models delivered any day now. In the best-case scenario, it takes about eight weeks to build the Raptor R. However, semiconductor shortages and supply chain constraints have been causing delays.

Plus, Raptor R production is limited. The 2023 Raptor R only accounts for 30 percent of the total Ford F-150 Raptor production. So, this makes the Raptor R even harder to get. It’s a rare truck to come by.

Ford is increasing production of popular models for 2024, but the Raptor R wasn’t included in the list. The focus could be placed on the regular F-150 model, the Ford F-150 Lightning, and Ford Bronco instead. Also, the United Auto Workers (UAW) strike could slow things down again.

What comes with the 2023 Raptor R?

The most exciting part of the 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R is the supercharged 5.2-liter Predator V8 engine that cranks out 700 hp and 640 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 3.6 seconds.

An EATON TVS R2650 water-cooled supercharger, stainless steel exhaust, cast stainless steel exhaust, manifolds, and a deeper cast-aluminum oil pan provide optimal temperatures for peak performance.

The linked suspension includes trailing arms with a Panhard bar, class-leading coil springs, Fox Live Valve 3.1 shocks, reinforced front axle housings, a finned-aluminum differential cover, a Torsen differential in the front, an electronically locking differential in the rear, and a 4.0-inch diameter driveshaft.

Plus, you can opt for the available 37-inch BFGoodrich T/A K02 all-terrain tires to boost the ground clearance up to 13.1 inches.

This beast is capable, durable, and fast. Perhaps that’s why they’re being sold in the blink of an eye. Stay tuned for the latest updates on production and quality.
