Some buyers are paying over MSRP since popular SUVs nowadays can be hard to find. With that said, don’t buy these new popular SUVs right now if you want to get a deal. These sport utility vehicles are in high demand and short supply, which leaves buyers in a bad situation. Jeep and Porsche start the iSeeCars list with a bang, coming in more than 23% over MSRP.

The Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) is the price for which the manufacturer has suggested the item be sold. Unfortunately for Jeep Wrangler fans, it remains a new popular SUV priced the highest over MSRP. At the time of publication, iSeeCars says the Wangler is 24.4% above MSRP in some areas. Buyers of the Jeep Wrangler can expect to pay $8,433 extra to get into this Jeep SUV. If getting a better deal is more important than having a new one, check out some of the best used Jeep Wrangler SUVs.

The Porsche Macan SUV has a high starting price as it is, around $57,000. iSeeCars says many Macan SUVs are priced 23.1% over MSRP, or approximately $14,221 extra. In the top five vehicles on this list, most of the options are luxury SUVs like the Porsche. Either way, you probably won’t get a good deal on any Porsche Macan SUVs anytime soon.

If you want some luxury, the Genesis GV70 offers plenty

Another luxury SUV option is the Genesis GV70. iSeeCars analyses almost two million car listings to determine which ones were priced over MSRP, and the Genesis GV70 came in at 22.4% over. That works out to about $10,278 over the base price that buyers can expect to pay. This doesn’t mean that every Genesis GV70 will be overpriced, but many options could be. It remains a new popular SUV that is overpriced.

The Lexus RX 450h is a popular and reliable hybrid SUV, so people are willing to pay more. At 21.9% above MSRP, buyers will probably pay more than $10,847 extra. The regular version of the RX is the 350, but the RX 450h adds performance and fuel economy to the already popular SUV.

Buyers can expect to pay above MSRP for the Ford Bronco

The legendary Ford Bronco is an obvious choice for those who might want a bit of off-road capability. After analyzing the sales of other Ford Bronco SUVs in the country, buyers can expect to pay 21.9% above MSRP in some cases. That works out to about $8,697 over the expected price, but the Bronco has been hard to get ahold of.

Some other vehicles on the list include the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, Cadillac CT5, Porsche Cayenne, and the Chevrolet Corvette. The most expensive option on the list is the Cayenne, for which buyers might have to pay $16,750 over MSRP. iSeeCars says the average new car is priced 10% over MSRP right now, while some are much more. Either way,  iSeeCars Executive Analyst Karl Brauer says that prices for new cars might not settle until sometime into 2023.
