The Genesis GV70 comes in two different trim levels: the 2.5T, and the 3.5T Sport. The 3.5T Sport model starts at $53,100. It makes 375 horsepower. Car and Driver praises the GV70’s peppy powertrain options and luxurious interior.
The 2022 Genesis GV70 is one of the most inexpensive luxury SUV models in the luxury compact vehicle segment, yet it competes some of the best models on the market. It is worth the money because it provides exciting driving dynamics and enough comfort to make occupants appreciate the driving experience.
South Korean automakers are bringing the value in a major way
Genesis, like many South Korean automakers, knows how to bring the value when it comes to luxurious vehicles. Hyundai and Kia may not be luxury automakers, but several final trim level Hyundai and Kia models provide a luxury feel. The Porsche Macan has recieved several great reviews from automotive publications. Car and Driver gave the 2023 Porsche Macan a perfect overall score. It starts at $57,500 and is available in several different trims including the Base, T, S and GTS.
The Macan comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 261 horsepower. The Porsche Macan can produce up to a whopping 434 horsepower. It is much quicker than the Genesis GV70. Consumers enjoy the Porsche Macan because it is the pefect combination of sporty and practical. Some consider it the ideal luxury compact SUV.
That being said, the Macan is much more expensive than the Genesis GV70. It could be the best luxury compact SUV, but the best luxury compact SUV for the money? Probably not. The GV70 has a better claim to that title.
