One thing we can’t seem to get enough of is smart devices. We’re now able to control most electronic things in our homes using only voice commands. We can see who’s at the door without getting out of bed. And, thanks to automakers who have begun following suit, we can utilize much of the same smart technology in our vehicles.

New vehicles like the 2020 Chevrolet Blazer come standard with many of the latest safety and convenience technology, giving drivers the freedom to both keep the roadways safer and providing a more comfortable experience for themselves. Let’s take a look at what the 2020 Blazer has to offer.

Safety and driver assistive technology

The Chevy Blazer has only been in production since the 2019 model, so it has always had the latest safety features. It offers Adaptive Cruise Control, giving drivers the ability to set their cruise control speed, then allowing the system to adjust that speed when needed to match traffic around your vehicle safely. The Lane Keep Assist system allows the vehicle to adjust your steering for you if it senses you have begun to drift out of your lane of traffic. Features like these are great for avoiding unnecessary collisions and make the roads safer.

It also has a Rear Cross Traffic alert, able to sense if there is traffic coming from the left or the right when in reverse, perfect for backing out of a busy parking lot or driveway where you may not be able to have a clear line of vision behind you. The Forward Collision Alert triggers when the vehicle senses a front-end collision is imminent, such as if the car in front of you suddenly stops, giving you an extra moment to apply your brakes. Every second counts in an accident, so features like this are more important than ever.

Infotainment technology

In addition to wanting more safety features, drivers are also looking for more convenience features in their technology. The 2020 Blazer comes standard with Chevy’s Infotainment 3 System, which provides a suite of technology within the touchscreen control panel. Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available here. Apple CarPlay allows you to connect your Apple smart devices directly to your car, giving you the freedom to make and receive phone calls, ask Siri for directions, and play songs from your favorite playlists.

Additionally, the Chevy Blazer comes compatible with the My Chevy app. The My Chevy app allows you to remotely start your vehicle using your smartphone, locate your vehicle on a map if you can’t remember where you parked, check your gas level or tire pressure, and even start your vehicle using voice command through Siri, Amazon Alexa, or Google Assistant. Truly a feature made for your own convenience.

The 2020 Blazer is sure to please

If you’re looking to ring in the new decade with a new car, the 2020 Blazer is definitely one crossover to consider. It has all of the latest technology, making it safer and more convenient than other models. It comes in six different trims: L, 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, RS, and Premier. Each increasing trim level includes more luxury features than the last, giving you the ability to tailor your car to what you really need.

But you don’t have to pay for the Premier model to get Apple CarPlay. That’s available on all of the trim models! Apple CarPlay is just one of the latest features that automakers are implementing as standard on many new vehicles to make our lives easier and keep the roads distraction-free and safer.
