With the 2023 Ford F-150 Hybrid, you get an EPA-estimated 25 mpg in the city, up to 26 mpg on the highway, and 24 mpg combined. It has a range of 700 miles. Ford dropped its diesel engine to focus on hybrids and EVs, but it has a little catching up to do.

Also, the 2023 Toyota Tundra i-Force Max gets an EPA-estimated 20 mpg in the city and up to 24 mpg in the city, with 22 mpg combined. It has 750 miles of range. This is lower than expected, but the potent power is still fun.

Yes, the 2023 Chevy Silverado Duramax diesel engine is reliable. It’s expected to last for over 300,000 miles. Plus, some owners have reported that their Durmax diesel trucks are still kicking after surpassing 500,000 miles.

There were some concerns about the outgoing generation due to long crank times. The camshaft may have been prone to bending, which damaged the sensor on the exciter wheel. But the engine has been updated and improved twice since 2019.

Also, if your truck seems to be burning oil, that’s normal at first. It may need extra oil to prime the system after coming from the factory, and it comes with extra oil to compensate for the potentially frustrating issue.

The Durmax diesel may not be the fastest truck available, but it has the best fuel economy and the most muscle. Have you driven it? What else do you want to know about the Duramax diesel? Let us know below in the comments!
