Even if you drive an electric vehicle you might not be safe from climate activists. An innocent Tesla Model X was vandalized. A note was left on the windshield about how ‘your gas guzzler’ kills. Were some wires crossed or does the Tesla Model X have a problem?

In the United Kingdom, there’s a growing group of climate activists known as the Tyre Extinguishers. They’re causing headaches all over as they slash SUV tires to bring attention to their cause. The cause is to improve safety and protest climate change.

It seems like no vehicles are safe, not even electric ones because a Tesla Model X was recently vandalized. The group aims to make owning SUVs in urban areas impossible and left a note about how ‘your gas guzzler kills’ on the windshield.

The note references that SUVs are the second largest cause of rising C02 emissions over the past decade, more than the aviation industry. SUVs cause more air pollution than smaller cars in your neighborhood. They also are more likely to kill people in collisions.

The owner of the Model X feels violated but slightly responds to the situation with humor. He thought buying an EV would be seen as a responsible choice for the environment. This is mostly an inconvenience for him.

But according to the Tyre Extinguishers, EVs are fair game because a child killed by an SUV doesn’t care if it’s gas or electric.

The group also shared that there aren’t enough rare earth metals to replace everyone’s vehicles and the mining of these metals causes suffering. Plus, brake pads and tires still cause pollution.

While the note mentions that the victim will have no problem getting around without their gas guzzler thanks to walking, cycling, and public transportation but they forgot one thing.

Most people probably won’t give up driving because their tires are slashed. Instead, they will probably have their vehicles towed somewhere to purchase more tires.

This activist group is drawing plenty of attention, but they should probably leave different notes on electric vehicles and actual gas guzzlers. Calling the Tesla Model X a gas guzzler doesn’t look very bright.
