During Q2 2023, Cadillac sold 38,877 vehicles in the United States. That’s a gain of more than 15% over the same period last year, when the company moved 33,703 vehicles.

In the first half of 2023, Cadillac sales increased by 21.5%, with the company delivering 75,198 units. That’s compared to 61,919 units sold in the same timeframe in 2022.

All but 1 model have seen sales increases in 2023

Almost all Cadillac models have experienced sales increases this year.

The Cadillac Escalade completed one of its best quarters in the company’s history. The Escalade is a luxury SUV that has reinforced its position as one of the most popular Cadillac models. The company moved 11,555 Escalade units, over 2,000 more than the 9,221 units sold in Q2 2022. However, the latest number includes the extended-length Escalade ESV, which was not available in the first half of last year.

Only two Cadillac models did not show positive Q2 2023 gains: the XT6 and Lyriq. However, the XT6 SUV is ahead year-to-date, having sold 10,067 units in the first half of this year, as opposed to 9,379 in the first six months of 2022.

In addition, the Cadillac Lyriq luxury EV is new, so it doesn’t show sales growth because it wasn’t available for purchase this time last year. This electric crossover sold 1,348 units in Q2 2023 and 2,316 in the first six months, making it the worst-selling Cadillac model.

An improvement in Cadillac’s inventory means most models saw a sales boost in Q2, GM Authority reports.

Here are overviews of the three most popular Cadillac models this year:

Escalade

The Escalade is a full-size luxury SUV that has established itself as one of the most popular Cadillac models. It has continually topped the sales charts. It boasts a cavernous, luxurious interior made from premium materials, giving it a significant edge over other large luxury SUVs.

What makes the Escalade popular is its combination of technology, luxury, and cargo volume. It features leather seats for maximum comfort and useful tech features. In addition, the Escalade boasts the best cargo capacity in its class and generous passenger space.

XT4

Another hot-selling Cadillac model is the XT4 small luxury SUV. It saw an increase of 5.56% in second-quarter sales. The company moved 5,734 units in Q2 2023 versus 5,432 in Q2 2022.

The 2024 Cadillac XT4 base model packs a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine harnessing 235 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. This luxury compact crossover has an affordable starting price of $37,895 yet provides plenty of amenities, including built-in Amazon Alexa.

XT5

The XT5 is another popular Cadillac. This luxury midsize SUV recorded an increase of 2.62% in Q2 sales. It sold 6,815 units in Q2 2023 versus 6,641 in Q2 2022. But sales were up an impressive 21.20% for the first six months of the year, from 11,634 YTD in 2022 to 14,100 YTD in 2023.

The 2024 Cadillac XT5 price starts at $43,895. Like the smaller XT4, this two-row midsize crossover has a 235-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. However, the XT5 boasts a roomier cabin and larger cargo area for a more comfortable ride.
