Let’s start this list of best used pickup trucks with some of the largest options available, the full-size trucks. iSeeCars gave the top spot to the 2011 Toyota Tundra. With an average towing capacity of 9,289 lb, it is the strongest truck on this list. This truck should cost you around $18,193 on average in good condition. Additionally, iSeeCars found that 2.9 percent of these trucks will surpass 200,000 miles.

Next up, we’ve got the 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. According to iSeeCars, you should pay around $18,216 for a good example. On average, this truck has a towing capacity of 7,063 lb, says iSeeCars. However, it is worth pointing out that the Silverado has plenty of engine and transmission combinations, so that this rating may vary. Regardless, around 2 percent of these trucks surpass 200,000 miles.

Next up in this list of best used pickup trucks is the best-selling truck in the world, specifically the 2013 Ford F-150. On average, iSeeCars estimates you’ll pay around $19,835 for a good example. While it carries a slight premium over the Silverado, this truck has an average towing rating of 7,553 lb. Additionally, 1.9 percent of them cross 200,000 miles.

Best used mid-size pickup trucks under $20,000

Next up in this list of best used pickup trucks, we’ve got the mid-size options. The first truck in this segment is iSeeCars’ top pick overall, the 2013 Honda Ridgeline. While the Ridgeline remains a controversial model amongst truck-lovers, it is certainly built to last. iSeeCars estimates that 3 percent of them will surpass 200,000 miles, beating out every other model on this list. This truck will cost you around $18,613 on average and tow an average of 5,000 lb.

It won’t surprise that the 2011 Toyota Tacoma also worked its way into this list. With an average price of $17,357 and an average 4,779-lb towing rating, the Tacoma is all the truck most people will ever need. It might be the only truck you’ll ever need since iSeeCars estimates that 2.5 percent of them will surpass 200,000 miles.

This is the cheapest best-used truck under $20,000

Now that we’ve covered the best options in this list of best used pickup trucks let’s look at the cheapest. According to iSeeCars, that is the 2011 GMC Canyon. On average, this small truck will cost you $12,407 and tow 4,900 lb. As a result, it can certainly perform like the other mid-size trucks listed above. However, you’ll pay the price in long-term durability. According to iSeeCars, only 0.8 percent of these trucks will ever surpass 200,000 miles.
