The Nissan Rogue is one of the best small SUVs on the market and has been for a while. It may not be as popular as other vehicles in its class, but many buyers realize the excellence of the SUV. However, not all used Nissan Rogue models are as reliable as others. Some have issues that could make ownership a pretty big headache.

Here are two of the best used Rogue model years.

2017 is a solid year for a used Nissan Rogue

People looking for a used Nissan Rogue should consider the 2017 model. This is the case because the 2017 Nissan Rogue happens to be one of the most reliable in the lineup. J.D. Power gave it an overall 85 out of 100, which the marketing research firm considers great. Perhaps most importantly, it has an 86 out of 100 for quality & reliability.

Despite this being fairly recent, the 2017 Nissan Rouge isn’t one of the best small SUVs for interior technology. The design is a bit outdated, but some options will have a seven-inch touchscreen. Additionally, this used Rogue has a comfortable interior that will withstand the test of time from a structural point of view. Of course, it seats five people and also has a decent bit of cargo storage.

Regarding price, buyers can get a 2017 Nissan Rogue for as low as around $7,000. However, the cost could also be as high as around $20,000.

The 2021 model is also solid

People looking for a used Nissan Rogue model should also look into the 2021 model. The 2021 Nissan Rouge doesn’t have the same level of ratings as the 2017 model, but it’s pretty solid. This one has an overall 83 out of 100 from J.D. Power. Regarding reliability, it has an 82 out of 100, which also falls into the ‘great’ category.

Of course, the interior of the 2021 Nissan Rogue is a serious upgrade from the previously mentioned model. This one comes standard with an eight-inch infotainment screen. However, some used models may have a nine-inch unit. This model also has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Platinum trim also has a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a 10.8-inch head-up display. There is also 37 cubic feet of storage behind the rear seats.

The 2021 Nissan Rogue typically goes for around $13,000. However, prices can always vary based on mileage and other factors. As the Rogue is a decently long running vehicle, there are several other quality used models.
