Are You Ready For a 6×6 Ford Bronco Pickup?

The 2021 Ford Bronco launched just a few days ago, on Monday. It is the return of an offroad legend for the Ford brand. However, as many in the automotive industry do, some have taken to creating renderings of what they believe is the next-level in customization for the Bronco. So, on Tuesday, Saleen posted a rendering of their 2021 Ford Bronco offroad package. Today, a rendering of another Bronco off-road creation appeared online. It will blow your mind.

The 6×6 Ford Bronco Pickup

SRK Design posted a rendering they created of a 6×6 Ford Bronco Pickup. Rumors of a Bronco pickup being added to the Bronco family down the road have existed for a while now. So, the idea of a Bronco pickup in the sketch is not new. What makes this rendering such an affront to sensibilities is the 6×6 conversion.

Other 6×6 conversions exist

It would be wrong to think that 6x6s have not been around, though. They have. Hennessey has offered them. The Hennessey Velociraptor is a Ford Raptor with performance treatments and a 6×6 conversion. The same can be said of the Hennessey Goliath based on a Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss. There was even a Dodge Ram 3500 Dually TRex 6×6 over twenty years ago by Dodge for a SEMA show. Several years ago, there was also the Mercedes G63 AMG 6×6 that was famously reviewed by Richard Hammond during his Top Gear presenting days. You can see that video below.

The 6×6 idea for the Ford Bronco, then, should not be that surprising. As long as there is imagination, there are people ready to render. Also, as long as there is demand, these machines will actually be made. That was the case with the Hennessey and Mercedes projects. So, it is conceivable that somebody with deep pockets will look at the Bronco 6×6 rendering and tell a customizer to start building.

However, for right now, nobody has put out a press release announcing that they have created a 6×6 Bronco yet. Intriguing as it may be, it takes time to make these ideas realities. Since the Bronco was just launched a few days ago, it is unlikely a shop has their hands on one to create this monster yet. If they do, it would be outrageous to purchase. The Hennessey projects are six-figure trucks. When the Mercedes was offered, it was available at over one million dollars.

The question nobody knew that was being asked

I applaud SRK Design for their creativity and artistry. They have created an answer to a question we did not know was asked. That question was, what would a 6×6 Bronco pickup look like? With that said, it not my thing. It’s interesting and cool, but not me. Somebody out there with big pockets will disagree and say to a customizer, build me one. That is okay. There automotive enthusiasts with all sorts of tastes and wallet-ability.
