Toyota has a reputation for making dependable and long-lasting vehicles. Even though that is a fact you might hear a lot, there is actually some data to back up that sentiment. Reliable Toyotas dominate the list of longest-lasting vehicles, with SUVs, trucks, sedans, and even a minivan. While the most reliable Toyota remains a large sport utility vehicle that isn’t even sold in the U.S. anymore, there are plenty of available options on the market.

What is the most reliable Toyota?

For the 13th year, iSeeCars calculated which vehicles have the best chance of reaching 250,000 miles or more, and the Land Cruiser topped the list. That is even higher than last year, which only looked at vehicles that could hit 200,000 miles and keep going. Some reliable Toyota SUVs and other brands have forced the study to look at even longer-lasting options.

For the vehicles that will last you 250,000 miles or more in 2023, reliable Toyota trucks, SUVs, and sedans led the way. In the top 10 of all vehicles, Toyota SUVs and trucks accounted for 50% of the leaders. That includes the Toyota Land Cruiser, Tundra, Sequoia, Tacoma, and the 4Runner.

The Toyota Avalon, Sienna, and Camry also made the list. These dependable Toyota options have a 20% chance or more of reaching that 250k milestone, which is still quite impressive. Especially when considering that the average vehicle only has an 11.8% chance of hitting 250,000 miles.

Toyota vehicles also account for the most reliable sedans

For 2023, the most reliable Toyota vehicles comprise the brand’s lineup. Even though it did not land in the top 20 of all cars, the Toyota Highlander and RAV4 made the list of top SUVs most likely to last 250,000 miles. The average SUV has a 15.0% chance of reaching 250,000 miles, and the RAV4 and Highlander have a 17% chance.

In the longest-lasting cars segment, Toyota still led the way with four out of 16 of the top options. That includes the Avalon, with a 33.1% chance of hitting a higher-than-average mileage. The Camry (20.4%), Matrix (16.7%), and the Corolla (11.0%) are also accounted for. Only 8.6% of sedans will make it to such high mileage, once again proving reliable Toyotas are a good option.
