The 2022 Acura MDX is a good SUV at a competitive price

Even the base model 2022 Acura MDX comes with nice features like a panoramic sunroof, simulated leather, and heated front seats, according to Edmunds.

The Acura MDX also comes with updated technology like a 12.3-inch central display, a 9-speaker sound system, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. It also has a wireless charging pad, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and USB ports in the first and second rows. The base model also comes with Acura’s suite of important safety features.

The MDX is super safe

2022 Acura MDX is an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) Top Safety Pick+ winner. To win the coveted Top Safety Pick+ award, a vehicle must have good crash test ratings in all major categories. It also has to have superior or advanced safety systems and acceptable or good headlights standard on all models.

It may not retain its value as well as other luxury SUVs

The 2022 Acura MDX has some pretty great ratings, but one area where it falls slightly low is its value retention. With a value retention rating of just 7.0, the Acura MDX has a lower rating than the SUV in the number one spot, the 2022 Volvo XC90.

To determine the list of the best luxury SUVs – and all lists that they compile – iSeeCars analyzed data from more than 12 million vehicles. It used information from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) as well as from its own team of data scientists.

Owners may not be too happy with their SUVs

As wonderful as the 2022 Acura MDX is, owners of the 2022 model may not be too happy with it. According to Consumer Reports, the predicted owner satisfaction of the 2022 MDX is pretty low. That’s largely due to its value, which isn’t considered good by 2022 MDX owners.

Overall, the 2022 Acura MDX is a good SUV with a lot going for it. Of course, it isn’t perfect but perhaps its downsides are easily overlooked. If you’re considering the 2022 MDX, just pay attention to your priorities, and you’ll be able to decide if the MDX is the right SUV for you.
