The Ford F-150 is another alternative to the Chevrolet Silverado

When it comes to alternatives to the Chevrolet Silverado, the Ford F-150 has a lot to offer buyers. The road test and predicted owner satisfaction score were both above average. The reliability score wasn’t anything to write home about, but it still had a higher score overall than the Chevy Silverado. The Ford truck also gets 19 mpg, two miles per gallon more than the Silverado.

The 3.5L turbo V6 hybrid engine gets 430 hp and can tow 12,400 pounds. The more popular 2.7L turbo V6 has 325 hp and a 7,700-pound tow rating. Either way, it has a quiet cabin, plenty of power, and is a good alternative to the Chevrolet Silverado.

Don’t overlook the Nissan Titan pickup truck

Overall, the Nissan Titan full-size pickup truck can do everything the Silverado does. The Titan only gets 16 mpg, which is one less mile per gallon than the Silverado. But The Nissan truck still has higher reliability and owner satisfaction scores. For acceleration, this option also has two-tenths of a second fast for its zero to 60 mph time.

The Nissan Titan has a smooth and powerful V8 engine with 400 hp and a towing maximum of 9,390 pounds. It is also mildly capable off-road, if you find yourself in that sort of situation.
