Vehicle prices are truckin’ ridiculous these days. On a list of the most valuable full-size truck options, the Ford F-150 landed in first place despite costing over $40,000. Let’s see what comes with the most valuable 2024 Ford F-150 trim.

What is the most valuable 2024 Ford F-150 trim?

According to Cars.com, the most valuable 2024 Ford F-150 trim is the F-150 XL SuperCab 4×2 model. It has a starting price of $41,940, though.

But to be fair, the only other two models that made this list are the 2024 Ram 1500 Big Horn Quad Cab 4×2 and 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 DoubleCab LT, which both start at over $50,000.

That makes the F-150 look like a bargain, but the starting MSRP is $38,765, with the $1,995 destination fee and the $645 acquisition fee added in.

This is because to have the most value, each full-size truck is judged based on the price with an automatic transmission, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, blind-spot warning, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, brake assist, and lane departure warning added.

Trucks are also judged based on starting prices, median trim level prices, average fuel economy estimates, annual fuel cost estimates, and warranty coverage.

The F-150 gets an EPA-estimated 19 mg in the city and up to 25 mpg on the highway. Its annual estimated fuel cost is $2,350. The median trim level costs about $46,293.

Also, the 2024 F-150 bumper-to-bumper warranty covers the first 36,000 miles or three years of use. The powertrain warranty covers the first 60,000 miles or five years. This coverage is standard across the industry.

The most valuable 2024 Ford F-150 trim has a standard turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 engine with 325 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Other standard F-150 features include:

  • 17-inch steel wheels
  • Keyless entry
  • A class IV trailer hitch
  • Vinyl flooring
  • A digital gauge cluster
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto
  • A 12.0-inch touchscreen
  • Lane-keeping assistance
  • Forward collision warning
  • Automatic emergency braking
  • Blind-spot warning
  • Rear cross-traffic alert
  • Rear automatic braking

So, it’s unclear what package is required to add lane departure warning and pedestrian detection, but the standard F-150 model covers most of the criteria to be the most valuable full-size truck.
