Additionally, the Ioniq 5 has an estimated range of 303 miles, which means it can make a solid EV for daily use. When properly equipped, the Ioniq 5 offers the ability to park itself. With Remote Smart Parking Assist, your SUV will actually be able to pull into tight parking spaces while you stand outside of the vehicle. Now, if you do want RSPA on your Hyundai Ioniq 5, you must opt for the Limited trim. This version has an MSRP of $51,100. But it does make remote park a standard feature. And to some, that might be worth the cost. The Limited trim also comes with a variety of other safety and tech features. Plus, it has a higher-end feel than something like the base model. 

Is the 2022 Ioniq 5 a good EV?

In terms of being an EV, the Ioniq 5 is a fairly solid electric SUV. It shares its platform with the 2022 Kia EV6, meaning that the two brands worked together in order to build it. It is also the first full EV offered by the Hyundai brand. It can charge from 10% to 80% in about 20 minutes, depending on which kind of charging station you are using. And that helps it to be a more practical electric SUV.

Another perk of the Ioniq 5 is its regenerative braking system. There are four different levels of regenerative braking, allowing you to control the way your vehicle drives. You can even set it to allow one-pedal driving, which is a fairly cool feature. 

Is the Ioniq 5 a hybrid?

According to Car and Driver, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is actually an electric SUV. It does not utilize a gasoline engine, which means you will no longer need to worry about filling up at the pump. Although this vehicle is only available in limited quantities right now, it should become more available. The Ioniq 5 has already won the praise of critics and journalists alike. And that should translate well to the car-buying public.

If you are interested in a new Ioniq 5, Hyundai says the best way to get one is to contact your dealership. Although they may or may not have access to this EV. Hopefully, in the future, as supply chain issues are figured out, it won’t be such a difficult task to purchase the 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5.
