The 2022 Honda Accord is deserving of its many accolades. Honda really did knock it out of the park with this sedan. Sedans like the Accord are workhorses. The cars we lean on every day to get from one place to another. And that means commuting. If you’re sitting in traffic hating life like that fish in Spongebob, you’ve probably bought the wrong car. Thankfully, the Accord’s interior and the tech within it assuage many of the pains of commuting. First, there’s the seats. At any trim level, they’re incredibly supportive and comfortable.

A lot of that has to do with blood flow, and how it gets helped or hindered by the shape of the seat and backrest. Clearly, Honda put a good deal of effort into researching that to make seats fit for a comfy commuter. Those seats, by the way, will hold five people. However, you may not want to fit anyone but close friends three abreast in the back. Thankfully, everything those three good friends touch will feel quality. It’s often the case that rear passengers are overlooked in bargain luxury sedans, and we’re happy to see that isn’t the case here.

Seating aside, the 2022 Honda Accord also makes great use of modern technology. Of course, Carplay and Android Auto are standard, as well as an 8-inch touch screen, two USB ports, and a four-speaker stereo. Definitely move up to the eight or ten-speaker stereo if you can. All that standard tech is integrated well, and there’s virtually no learning curve here. As US News points out, the only giveaway this isn’t a nicer Acura is the Honda badge on the wheel.

Speaking of the wheel, it’s a good thing it’s so nice. Obviously, the steering wheel is the surface you’ll touch the most. Thankfully, this one doesn’t suck. In fact, it’s quite nice to touch, even if the leather isn’t real. The buttons on it are also clear, legible, and easy to use. Take that, Volkswagen GTI. Of course, what’s an interior without storage space? Thankfully, there’s plenty, with 16.7 cubic feet of trunk space and plentiful pockets, cubbies, and cupholders.

The Accord’s Acura-esque interior is just the start

A nice interior is all well and good, but the 2022 Honda Accord has a lot going for it in other places. Honda is famous for its reliability, and we imagine the Accord won’t be any different. With pricing ranging from $25,470 to nearly $38,000, there’s a trim level for nearly every budget. The Accord is an excellent sedan that isn’t carried by one single quality, and that’s why it’s so damn good.
