The Chrysler 300 Touring is the base model in the 300 line. It features the tried and trusted 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine which produces 292 horsepower. Also, the Pentastar V6 is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission which Consumer Reports says results in faster acceleration. In addition to the extra pickup, the 300 Touring accomplished a respectable 22 mpg combined.

Chrysler’s big sedan comes standard with a spacious interior and comfortable seats. Also, the 300 line has the user-friendly Uconnect 4C with an 8.4-inch touchscreen and standard backup camera. Car and Driver reports that the Uconnect system is intuitive and compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The 2022 Touring L model is a step up in the 300 line:

Starting price at $38,340

The Chrysler 300 Touring L is a step up from the base model 300 Touring. It features comfortable leather upholstery, heated seats, and a set of polished 18-inch wheels. However, there is no optional V8 for the Touring L as it retains the Pentastar V6 and eight-speed automatic transmission. Finally, the Touring L and Touring trims have the option for AWD, which should serve consumers well in states with serious seasonal weather.

The 2022 Chrysler 300S is the range-topping peak of the 300 line. The 300S gives consumers a choice between the 3.6L V6 and a muscular 363 horsepower V8 engine. In addition to the added comfort of the higher tier, the Chrysler 300S has aesthetic upgrades like a subdued grille and wheels.

A V8-equipped Chrysler 300S is a luxury sedan with a muscle car heart

The Chrysler 300 is a comfortable sedan with seating for five. Moreover, the 300S offers an optional V8 engine with muscle car credentials. While the V6-equipped Chrysler 300 accelerates to 60 mph in just 6.3 seconds, the 300S with a V8 will do it in 5.3 seconds. However, consumers will be trading horsepower for fuel economy, considering how much thirstier the V8 is than the Pentastar V6.

Also, the V8 is paired with the smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission, making the 300S a muscle car cruiser with sedan skin. In addition to higher performance, Chrysler equipped the 300S with a sport-tuned suspension. Finally, the Chrysler 300S has a sport mode with paddle shifters to compliment the added sportiness.

The Chrysler 300 is a comfortable, handsome option for consumers in the large luxury sedan market

Chrysler’s big sedan has been with us for a long time now, and there is a reason for that. The timeless formula of a spacious, elegantly simple American sedan with an option for a V8 still appeals to people. Furthermore, with multiple trims and optional AWD, the 2022 Chrysler 300 can handle just about anything you need it to. Scroll down to read more about how the 300 compares to the Dodge Charger.
