If you aren’t ready for the upgrades with the Chevy Traverse, that’s fine. For a limited time, you can get the outgoing model, but it’s still listed as a 2024 option. It’s being sold beside the 2024 Chevy Traverse which kicks off the new generation.

What is the 2024 Chevy Traverse Limited?

For a little while, some 2024 Chevy Traverse models will be carryover models. The carryover model is known as the Traverse Limited to separate it from the new generation that also carries the Traverse badging.

This could get confusing, but the Traverse Limited or the older SUV model was delayed during the United Auto Workers (UAW) strike. Instead of canceling the delayed models, they are being shipped to the dealerships as 2024 models.

The second-generation Traverse has a 3.6-liter V6 engine with 310 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque. Adding AWD costs between $1,600 and $3,800 depending on the trim level.

Also, the Traverse Limited starts at $35,915 and the top-spec High-Country trim takes the price up to $53,395. These prices include the $1,395 destination fee.

What’s new for the 2024 Traverse?

The third-generation Chevy Traverse or 2024 model got a fresh new look with a larger grille, revamped LED headlights, sleeker sides, new wheel designs, and refreshed taillights. Overall, it’s more rugged and confident.

The 2024 Traverse has more power thanks to the new 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 328 hp and 326 lb-ft of torque.

It’s hard to miss the new 17.7-inch touchscreen that replaced the 7.0 and 8.0-inch units on the Limited model. Plus, it features an available 11.0-inch digital gauge cluster.

The interior is fresh and modern with a convenient layout and the storage has been upgraded by a pass-through center console.

The 2024 Chevy Traverse Z71 is more adventurous with a 1.0-inch lift and a wider track to increase off-roading angles and stability. The undercarriage is protected by an aluminum skidplate and you’ll notice a beefier front bumper has red tow hooks.

It rides on all-terrain tires with a twin-clutch AWD system that’s tuned for off-roading. The Z71 also features unique dampers with hydraulic rebound control for a smoother ride.

The new RS model features black 22-inch wheels, blacked-out trim pieces, a three-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, black upholstery with red accents, and a sportier suspension tune.

The new 2024 Traverse starts at $38,995 and the top-spec RS trim takes the price up to $55,595.
