The Volvo plant in South Carolina is tooled to build Polestar models. According to Car and Driver, the new Polestar 3 joins the Volvo S60 sedan and XC90 SUV at this plant as the first Polestar model built in the United States. It is pretty fitting that an SUV is made here, considering the growth of SUVs in the North American market.

Pricing is still an unanswered question for this new electric SUV. This new model could start as high as $70,000, according to Cars Direct, but it could also begin at a lower price. The starting price won’t be revealed until much closer to the release date.

Similar to other electric vehicles, the Polestar 3 batteries should last between 200,000 and 400,000 miles. This is based on the estimate of the Polestar 2 battery pack provided by Engine Patrol. The number of years the battery operates depends upon how many times it’s recharged and the miles on the odometer.
