These vehicles are equipped the right way, drive smoothly, and extend a sharp, imaginative style that turns heads when you pull up to the red carpet or park at your local grocery store. Three Lexus crossovers (UX, NX, RX), come in a total of seven different variations. Gasoline engines, hybrid powertrains, and a plug-in hybrid model make up the varieties you’ll find

Let’s see what each one has to offer.

Lexus UX – Compact affordability with a luxury name

The 2022 version of the Lexus UX is mostly a carryover model, but that doesn’t take anything away from it. If your lifestyle is suited for a subcompact crossover SUV, this is the right vehicle for you to drive.

The UX has a low starting price of $33,000 that can increase to $40,240 for the top version of the 250h hybrid version. This SUV is the most affordable way for you to step inside a luxury SUV from this brand.

The base model has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that provides 169 horsepower, but you can also enjoy a hybrid powertrain to gain more power and reach 181 horsepower for your drive.

Overall, the UX is comfortable for four people, but it has tight quarters in the rear with only 33.1 inches of legroom and 21.7 cubic feet of cargo room. If you’re not going to carry passengers often, the UX is right for you.

Lexus NX – The most versatile Lexus SUV

Three different versions are offered for the 2022 Lexus NX. This SUV can be had with a gasoline engine, a hybrid powertrain, or a plug-in hybrid model. This variety has made the NX one of the most popular vehicles in the Lexus lineup.

Pricing for the NX begins at $37,950, which is relatively affordable for a luxury SUV, but that price can reach $55,560 when the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid. Will you find your Lexus SUV somewhere in this price range?

Four different power levels for the Lexus NX. They are:

  • NX 250 – 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, 203 horsepower
  • NX 350 – 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, 275 horsepower
  • NX 350h – 2.5-liter hybrid four-cylinder powertrain, 239 horsepower
  • NX 450h+ – 2.5-liter hybrid four-cylinder powertrain, 302 horsepower

When you’re going to carry passengers during most driving, the NX can be an excellent option. This SUV is comfortable for four adults and one child. Unfortunately, this SUV doesn’t offer a large increase in cargo room over the UX, with only 22.7 cubic feet for your gear.

Lexus RX – Luxury driving sitting in the middle of the pack

One of the longest-running names in crossover SUVs is the Lexus RX. The 2022 model offers the quality and drive you expect from a name that’s trusted as reliable, useful, and classy. This midsize crossover is a Lexus SUV that has either a gasoline powertrain or a hybrid model.

The cost associated with the Lexus RX begins at $45,320 and ranges to $62,500 when you add all of the features the 450hL version can offer.

Lexus provides two powertrains to the RX to give you the drive you desire. Gasoline models use a 3.5-liter V6 engine that offers 295 horsepower, while hybrid models add three electric motors to the mix to return 308 horsepower when combined with the gasoline engine.

Interestingly, you can have the Lexus RX in two different lengths. The standard-wheelbase models give you 16 feet of cargo room behind the rear seats, which is less than the smaller Lexus SUVs. Choose the longer wheelbase version and you’ll have a third row of seats, providing 23 cubic feet of cargo room when folded down.
