Touring is the new entry-level trim for the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica, according to MotorTrend. It comes with a surprising number of excellent features for its affordable starting price. Most importantly, these include power-operated rear sliding and cargo doors, flat-folding Stow n’ Go second-and third-row seats, and three-zone climate control. Additionally, the Touring trim comes with upscale amenities like heated seats, a heated steering wheel, and Chrysler’s Uconnect 5 infotainment system on a 10.1-inch touchscreen.

Even rear passengers get some features in the base model, although they don’t hold a candle to heated seats. USB-ports and second-row window sunshades are also included with the Pacifica Touring model. Lastly, standard driver-assist and safety features include adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and front/rear emergency braking.

Although the Pinnacle trim will have you riding in luxury, it might be a bit much for many people. Especially since it’s thousands of dollars more expensive than other trims, most could do without. The Pacifica Pinnacle trim comes with tons of fancy features and luxurious comfort. Included are quilted caramel-colored leather seats, a suede headliner, and an “Ultra Console” in the front with wireless device charging.

Firstly, on the back of each front seat is a 10.1-inch entertainment touchscreen with built-in games. The screens are connected to an HDMI port and a DVD/Blu-Ray player. Secondly, a FamCam is included so front passengers can watch those in the rear seats. It comes with second-row captain’s chairs, but that comes with the price of sacrificing the Stow n’ Go functionality. Lastly, the exterior of the Pacifica Pinnacle gets 20-inch wheels and extended chrome trim, making it look fancier outside, too.

The best Pacifica trim is a mid-level option

Depending on who you ask, one of the mid-level trims is the best option for the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. Car and Driver recommend the Touring L model, which sits just above the base Touring. However, MotorTrend suggests the Limited model, which is nearly $10,000 more expensive than CAD’s recommendation. Why does each reviewer prefer such a vastly different Pacifica trim?

CAD likes the mix of features and value the Touring L trim adds to the base model. Additionally, it’s noted that all-wheel drive is available, though FWD is cheaper. Subsequently, MotorTrend likes the more luxurious interior the Limited trim provides. For example, ventilated seats, a 19-speaker audio system, power-folding third-row seats, navigation, and a built-in vacuum cleaner are all standard. If items like those aren’t important to you, the Touring L is the better option. Either way, no one likes the Pinnacle top trim, as it loses the Stow n’ Go functionality. Additionally, it doesn’t add enough to warrant the massive price increase.

In conclusion, the Touring L and Limited models provide the most bang for your buck. While the cheaper base and most expensive Pinnacle models are tempting, they don’t make sense. The Touring L adds much more value than its lesser variant for just a bit more money. Everyone agrees the Pinnacle version has too many negatives to make the price tag worthwhile. Which 2022 Chrysler Pacifica trim should you buy? Either the Pacifica Touring L or the Limited model.
