While other automakers are pulling the plug on EVs, Subaru is still going all-in. The Subaru Uncharted is the brand’s newest electric SUV. However, it won’t be lonely for long as it’s one of four EVs planned for America.

More EVs will join the Subaru Uncharted

It seems like automakers are dropping their electric vehicle plans left and right. Tariffs, increasing costs, and cancelling the $7,500 federal tax credit are causing massive shifts in the auto industry.

However, Subaru isn’t worried. It’s sticking to electric vehicles as the Subaru Uncharted debuts. Things started to ramp up with the introduction of the Subaru Solterra. It was codeveloped with the Toyota bZ4X.

Soon, the new Subaru Uncharted will arrive alongside the Subaru Trailseeker. Then, if things go according to plan, Subaru will release a three-row EV for larger families.

The 2026 Trailseeker has an estimated range of over 260 miles per charge. It cranks out 275 hp and can tow up to 3,500 lbs. It doesn’t have an official starting price, but is expected to start around $45,000.

Then the 2026 Uncharted rings in with an estimated range of over 300 miles with up to 338 hp. It can tow up to 1,500 lbs and is expected to start around $35,000. Without the $7,500 tax credit, these prices seem high.

Subaru hasn’t released much information about the three-row model yet. The electric  Kia EV9 and Hyundai Ioniq 9 three-row SUVs may seem like good comparisons. It will be interesting to see if they end the year with a solid amount of sales.
