Considering the level of success, the 2020 Kia Telluride enjoyed this last year, it’s hard to imagine how the popular SUV could get any better. But Kia doesn’t rest when it comes to improvements and consumer-loving enhancements. And there is a new edition coming for the 2021 Telluride that will make it look even cooler and more stylish than it already does. This new trim level is already gaining attention among critics and reviewers. When it lands in dealerships later this summer, consumers are going to be just as excited.

The Kia Telluride already was a winning vehicle

The 2020 Kia Telluride, according to most critics, was already a winner. Before its debut, there wasn’t much available in the Kia lineup with seven-person seating capacities. But the stylish and impeccably equipped Telluride came on stage and had heads turning and reviewers singing its praises.

Edmunds named it the Top Rated SUV for 2020 and even bought one as a permanent fixture among their fleet of long-term test vehicles. It also won the 2020 World Car of the Year in a live-streamed ceremony from the World Car Awards organization.

What’s new for the 2021 Kia Telluride?

As the old saying goes, with improper grammar and all, “if it ain’t broke, don’t bother fixing it.” So with all of its critical acclaim last year, some might assume nothing needed to be improved for the next generation of the Kia Telluride. According to most outlets, fans shouldn’t expect any significant changes to the popular SUV.

It will continue to have a smart use of space, including tons of cargo and a third-row fit for actual adults. But while consumers can expect the 2021 Kia Telluride to keep all the best features of the 2020 model, there is one new introduction. It’s a trim level that will make an already solid contender look so much cooler.

The trim level everyone will be choosing

While the details leaked accidentally earlier this year, the official confirmation has been announced, according to Motor1. The 2021 Kia Telluride Nightfall Edition is coming, and it’s a sharp style option that has everyone excited.

It’s anticipated that the package will cost less than $1,300 and will be an available add-on to the EX AWD trim with the Premium package, the SX with the Prestige package, and the SX AWD. For anyone who appreciates the sharpness of a black-on-black vehicle exterior, the Nightfall Edition is going to wow your senses.

It presents a black finish on the grille mesh. It also offers a glossy black on almost everything else, including the roof rails, side window trims, emblem covers, lower door moldings, light bezels, and air duct surrounds. Imagine these darkened touches with a set of 20-inch black wheels, with matching black lug nuts, too.

How soon can you test-drive one for yourself?

Official pricing hasn’t been released just yet, but Edmunds estimates the price range for the 2021 Kia Telluride to be between $33,000 and $48,000. Sources suggest the new models will be landing on Kia dealership showrooms late this summer or early this fall. If you have to see one of these family favorites with the cool Nightfall Edition trim, you won’t have to wait much longer.

Kia buyers may already know and appreciate what the current model Telluride offers. But if you’re someone who’s been on the fence about them over the last few months, now may just be the time to get serious. The 2020 Telluride models that may be available now will impress you just as much as a 2021 generation will. But if the idea of a totally blacked-out, Nightfall Edition trim, sounds enticing, you’ll have your chance to check one out over the next few months.
