If you are looking for a used car, one great option is the 2016 Toyota Camry. The 2016 model has a great blend of safety, technology, and value. These cars are known for their comfort and reliability. It has some of the highest safety ratings and comes with several standard features that are extras on many other brands. All these features at a reasonable price make the 2016 Toyota Camry a great choice for a used sedan.

Impressive performance

The Toyota Camry got a comprehensive makeover in 2015, which improved the interior, added more intuitive controls, and had a sleeker look. Even with all these changes, the Camry retained its smooth and quiet ride. The 2016 model made several smaller updates, including improving the responsiveness to driver inputs. Edmunds gave the 2016 Camry an “A” rating. Consumer Reports named it one of the 10 Best Cars to Buy in 2016.

All models come with front-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission. While the four-cylinder engine is standard, there are models that are upgraded to a V6 engine. The engine is really quiet and runs at an EPA-estimated 25/35 mpg city/highway.

Camry models consistently get high safety ratings and the 2016 model is no exception. The vehicle earned a five-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The Camry also received a Top Safety Pick+ designation from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. That’s the highest rankings a vehicle can get from the IIHS. In Edmunds’ brake testing, the base model stopped from 60 mph in 116 feet, something Edmunds calls “impressively short.”

In addition, the vehicle is incredibly reliable. Consumer Reports gives the 2016 Camry a five out of five in reliability and ranks it as the most reliable 2016 sedan.

The Toyota Camry’s features

The 2016 model received a few changes. The 2016 Toyota Camry is much sleeker than previous models, while maintaining the ergonomic control layout and smooth ride. The interior is also one of the roomiest for a midsize sedan, both in the front and rear seats. It has spacious headroom along with a wide rear bench that can hold three adults. In addition, the Camry has a large amount of trunk space at 15.4 cubic feet.

All 2016 Camry models come with many great features. Heated mirrors and power driver’s seats (with a two-way power lumbar adjustment) are standard in the 2016 Camry. For drivers, the Camry’s controls are well-designed. They are easy to see and understand at a glance, especially the climate controls.

The Camry comes standard with Toyota’s Entune infotainment system.  Most vehicles have a 6.1-inch touchscreen, though some models have a 7-inch display and apps such as Yelp. Like the other controls throughout the 2016 Camry, the touchscreen is relatively straightforward and easy to use.

All models come with a rearview camera. More expensive models come with adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, a pre-collision system, and lane departure warning.

The cost of the Toyota Camry

CarFax says that the 2016 Toyota Camry goes for between $11,998 and $17,800 with an average selling price of $14,832. Even when new, CarFax considered the 2016 Camry a good value at its new price. A base model 2020 Camry’s MSRP is $24,425. As a result, you can save at least $7,000 (if not more) while still getting the safety, comfort, and many of the features that come with a new model. It’s a great value for one of the best midsize sedans on the market.

In addition, if you find a 2016 Camry that is a Toyota Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, it will come with additional warranty protection, presale inspection, and roadside assistance for one year.

The 2016 Toyota Camry is reliable, comfortable, and safe to drive. Buying one of these cars gets you a great midsize sedan at a lower price than a new model.
