The 2021 Jeep Wrangler is an adventurous alternative to the 2021 Toyota 4Runner

Now, if you still want to hit the trails but aren’t quite sold on the 2021 Toyota 4Runner, you might as well take a gander at the 2021 Jeep Wrangler. Much like this year’s 4Runner, the Wrangler is more than capable of conquering the trails. Of course, that’s not the only reason to consider the 2021 Jeep Wrangler over this year’s 4Runner.

According to U.S. News & World Report, the interior of this year’s Wrangler is pretty impressive. While the 4Runner’s cabin is a tad outdated, the Wrangler was completely redesigned in 2018 and is anything but dated.

The Jeep Wrangler is also a cheaper alternative to the 2021 Toyota 4Runner. While the 4Runner boasts a base price of $36,590, this year’s Wrangler starts at $28,315. So if you’re looking to save rather than spend with your next vehicle purchase? The 2021 Jeep Wrangler makes for a great alternative to the 2021 Toyota 4Runner.

The 2021 Kia Telluride is a luxurious alternative to the 2021 Toyota 4Runner

And if you’re not looking to hit the trails? Check out the 2021 Kia Telluride. While comparing these two vehicles may not make the most sense, if it’s a luxurious SUV that you’re after, then the 2021 Kia Telluride really aims to please.

According to Car and Driver, the interior of this year’s Telluride is “undeniably upscale and comfortable.” Car and Driver added that “build quality is excellent, the materials are attractive, and the desirable features are plentiful.” As for the 4Runner’s interior? It’s stock full of plastic and not exactly what we’d call modern.

Pick the 2021 Toyota Highlander if you want an SUV that drives better than the 4Runner

And if you’ve got your heart set on an SUV from Toyota? There’s always the 2021 Toyota Highlander. The Toyota Highlander is a slightly cheaper alternative to the 2021 Toyota 4Runner. It also did significantly better in road tests, according to Consumer Reports

Unlike the Toyota 4Runner, which Consumer Reports called clumsy, this year’s Highlander offers robust acceleration, a smooth-shifting transmission, and, overall, rides very comfortably. This year’s Highlander also has the edge when it comes to fuel-efficiency.

According to the EPA, this year’s Highlander is able to deliver an EPA-estimated 21 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. Opt for the hybrid model and those numbers jump up to an EPA-estimated 35 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. As for the 4Runner? According to the EPA, this year’s model is only able to manage 16 mpg in the city and 19 mpg on the highway.

These aren’t the only alternatives to this year’s new Toyota 4Runner

And if none of these SUVs seem like a good fit for you? Not to worry. There are plenty of other alternatives to the 2021 4Runner. These are just a few of them.
