Wait, this Kia minivan looks like an SUV. You might not recognize the new Kia Carnival with its bold boxy styling that takes a significant departure from the curvy options that you’re used to seeing. See how the 2025 Kia Carnival just changed the game.

2025 Kia Carnival: What’s new?

The 2025 Kia Carnival has an attractive new style that makes it look like it left at the end of the school year as a nerd but came back after summer as the coolest kid in class. What a transformation!

It gained a square grille that is framed by LED headlights. Sleek body lines give it a more defined shape and new wheel designs provide a confident attitude. The rear end has been revamped with new LED taillights as well.

The Dark Edition adds a new sinter level of daring darkness with darkened roof rails, skid plates, C-pillar, grille, and wheels.

The interior got a slight refresh with a new dashboard layout. The gear shifter was replaced by a rotary shifter and the climate controls don’t sit on the center console anymore.

Tech upgrades include a standard 12.3-inch infotainment screen, an available 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a new full-color head-up display with navigation, and a digital rearview mirror.

The new Connected Car Navigation software promises better graphics and faster responses. Rear passengers can enjoy two 14.6-inch screens that can stream videos, connect to wireless headphones, and include HDMI ports.

With the Carnival Hybrid, you get a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that’s paired with an electric motor to generate 242 hp and 271 lb-ft of torque. The gas-powered model still has the 3.5-liter V6 engine with 287 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque.

The Hybrid has three different regenerative braking levels and the E-Ride system automatically adjusts the shocks and accelerates/decelerates to avoid harsh road impacts.

You can get started with a new Carnival for $34,995. Pricing for the Hybrid model hasn’t been released yet, but this van will be available in the summer.
