The Chevrolet Corvette is synonymous with horsepower, rear-wheel drive (RWD) shenanigans, and sports car thrills. However, only in the last three generations have factory power figures exploded past the 600 horsepower mark. Here are the most powerful Chevrolet Corvettes to roll off the line, like the 2019 Corvette ZR1 and the 2023 Z06.

The most powerful production Chevrolet Corvette to date is the 2019 Corvette ZR1, the supercharged summit of the C7 generation. The ZR1 produces 755 horsepower, 38 more than a late-model Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.

2019 Corvette Z06Supercharged 6.2L LT4 V8650 HP/ 650 lb-ft of torque

That’s right, the most powerful Corvette ever is pushing five years in age, and the most potent C8 model is still 85 horsepower away from the supercharged swan-song C7. However, the nascent 2025 Corvette lineup will likely include a C8 ZR1, which will undoubtedly push the nameplate to new horsepower heights.

Which Corvette has 700 horsepower?

The only production Chevrolet Corvette to produce over 700 horsepower is the 2019 ZR1 from the C7 generation. Specifically, the ZR1 summoned 755 horsepower and 715 lb-ft of torque from its supercharged 6.2L LT5 V8. Also, the ZR1 was the last new Corvette model to include a factory supercharger.

According to the Chevy’s claims, the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 will hit 189 mph. While that might not seem like much in the face of other supercars like the iconic McLaren F1, the high-revving 670-horsepower C8 Z06 is the second-most powerful Corvette model ever.

Better yet, the C8 Corvette Z06 shines on the track and the drag strip; the flat-plane V8-powered model will hit 60 mph in 2.6 seconds on its way to a 10.5-second quarter mile.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray really electric?

The upcoming 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray isn’t fully electric. Instead, the E-Ray is the first hybrid Corvette, developing 655 horsepower between a 495-horsepower 6.2L LT2 V8 and a 160-horsepower electric motor driving the front wheels. Coincidently, the hybrid-electric E-Ray is the first all-wheel drive (AWD) Corvette.

How much horsepower does a 2019 Corvette Z06 have?

The 2019 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 added forced induction to the C7’s 6.2L V8, producing a supercharged 6.2L LT4 V8. As a result, the 2019 Corvette Z06 produced 650 horsepower and the same number in torque, not unlike a late-model Camaro ZL1.
