The numbers are in, and the used Chevy Equinox is more popular than the used Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, and Nissan Rogue. It’s even more popular than the used Toyota Tacoma and Ram 1500.

According to iSeeCars, the Equinox is responsible for  2.1% of used sales for vehicles between one to five years old. The Ford F-150 is the most popular used vehicle at 3.3%. The RAV4 is in seventh place at 1.7% and the Honda CR-V takes up 1.5% of the used market.

One reason that the used Equinox is so popular is its affordability. It’s a couple thousand cheaper than the RAV4 and CR-V when new, so it could have even more competitive pricing as a used option. The 2023 Equinox starts at $26,600.

Plus, the Equinox doesn’t skimp on value. Standard features include keyless entry, push-button start, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, heated mirrors, automatic high beams, a 7.0-inch touchscreen, etc.

The Equinox is comfortable with a smooth ride and quiet interior. It has precise handling and direct steering with confident brakes and intuitive tech.

The 2023 Equinox is extremely reliable. J.D.Power gave it a Reliability score of 90 out of 100, which is great. It’s one of the highest scores we’ve come across. The average model lasts between 200,000 to 250,000 miles. Some models have surpassed 300,000 miles.

Also, the Equinox has a pretty solid resale value. The average model is expected to depreciate by about 31% after five years. So, if you bought the Equinox for $31,528 when new, it could maintain a resale value of $21,606.

The Equinox might not be the sportiest option, but it’s affordable, comfortable, and reliable. It provides plenty of value for its class.
