A quiet cabin and luxurious materials inside go a long way for the overall experience. The 4.6L V8 is powerful enough to move the luxury SUV around town, but the 17 mpg can be a drawback.

Lexus was the highest-ranked brand for the J.D. Power 2023 U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study. It scored 133 PP100, meaning it had fewer problems than the average brand. This study looks at vehicles from 2020 and how each has performed over the last few years of ownership. With Lexus remaining in the top spot, the most dependable luxury midsize SUV doesn’t need to come cheap; it’ll be worth it.
