The 2021 Honda CR-V is the most comfortable compact SUV

According to Consumer Reports, the 2021 Honda CR-V is the roomiest, most comfortable compact SUV of 2021. This year’s model provides seating for up to five passengers and is reportedly easy to get in and out of. The CR-V’s front seats are made to fit a wide range of people and feature comfortable padding that provided good support for most of Consumer Reports’ testers. 

As for the second row? The Honda CR-V’s rear seat is plenty generous. It offers good back support too. Unfortunately, Consumer Reports added, the rear door armrests could benefit from more padding. 

The 2021 Subaru Forester is a compact SUV that values comfort

If the 2021 Honda CR-V isn’t quite your style, consider the 2021 Subaru Forester, which was also recognized as one of the roomiest and most comfortable compact SUVs of 2021. According to Consumer Reports, this year’s model is easy to get in and out of and provides comfortable seating all around. Fold down its rear seats, and you’ll enjoy an impressive 36 cubic feet of cargo space too.

If that’s not enough to convince you that the 2021 Subaru Forester is worth checking out. This year’s Forester benefits from superior visibility, easy-to-use controls, a comfortable ride, and responsive handling.

Pick the 2021 Toyota RAV4 or RAV4 Prime for a comfortable compact SUV

Consumer Reports also included both the 2021 Toyota RAV4 and the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime in its list of ‘The Roomiest, Most Comfortable Compact SUVs.’ According to the publication, each of these compact SUVs offers up plenty of interior space, along with an abundance of cargo room. While that’s certainly good news, it could make choosing between the two compact SUVs fairly difficult.

Fortunately, there’s an easy way to decide between the 2021 Toyota RAV4 and the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime. If you’re looking for a compact SUV with a more upscale interior, check out the RAV4 Prime. However, if you’re looking to save rather than spend and would prefer a gas-powered or hybrid SUV, then the 2021 Toyota RAV4 is likely the better choice for you.

Check out the Subaru Crosstrek for one of the most comfortable compact SUVs of 2021

The Subaru Forester wasn’t the only Subaru model Consumer Reports recognized as being among the roomiest and most comfortable compact SUVs of 2021. The 2021 Subaru Crosstrek also earned a spot on the list. Though, that shouldn’t be that surprising. The Crosstrek is easy to get in and out of and provides plenty of space to boot.

This year’s new Subaru Crosstrek is pretty comfortable too.  Although the Crosstrek’s front seats are fairly basic, they certainly get the job done. For even more comfortable seating, consider a Crosstrek Hybrid or the range-topping Crosstrek Limited, which comes outfitted with leather-trimmed seating. As for second-row passengers? Consumer Reports explains that the rear seat is roomy and provides decent thigh support.

The 2021 Lexus NX is one of the most comfortable compact SUVs

Maybe you would prefer a more luxurious compact SUV. If that’s the case, consider the 2021 Lexus NX, which Consumer Reports rated as one of the roomiest, most comfortable compact SUVs of 2021. According to the publication, this year’s model is easy to get in and out of, comes outfitted with comfortable seating, and provides 28.5 cubic feet of cargo room with the second row folded flat.

Unfortunately, the 2021 Lexus NX does have some downsides to contend with. As Consumer Reports explains, the Lexus NX’s biggest drawbacks include its “low roofline, tight elbow space, and wide center console.”

The 2021 Mazda CX-5 is one of the best and most comfortable compact SUVs

There’s a lot to like about the 2021 Mazda CX-5. It’s one of the roomiest, most comfortable compact SUVs of 2021 and provides an ample amount of cargo space. Consumer Reports added that this year’s model is very responsive, making its ride one of the best in its class. That’s not all, either. It’s also pretty fuel-efficient too.
