What do you get with the new 2024 Mazda CX-5 Carbon Turbo?

The new Carbon Turbo is the CX-5’s entry-level turbocharged trim, starting at $37,000. Ranked by price, it sits three levels above the returning Carbon Edition, between the top-tier 2.5 S Premium Plus and 2.5 Turbo Premium.

If you want a CX-5 that stands out, the Carbon Turbo features an exclusive Zircon Sand Metallic exterior paint color. If you’d rather blend in, you can choose Rhodium White for an additional $145. Either choice comes with contrasting black finishes on the lower fascia, rocker moldings, wheel arches, mirror caps, and rear wing. A set of 19-inch black metallic aluminum alloy wheels completes the sporty Carbon Turbo appearance.

Inside the Carbon Turbo edition, you’ll find heated and ventilated front seats with black synthetic suede inserts trimmed in terracotta-toned leather. The Bose 10-speaker audio system provides premium sound, and the head-up display, which Mazda calls the “windshield-projected Active Driving Display,” keeps you up-to-date.

What else is new for the 2024 CX-5?

In addition to the Carbon Turbo’s two front USB-C inputs, Mazda gave all 2024 CX-5 models with naturally aspirated engines i-Stop technology. It boosts the CX-5’s EPA-estimated fuel economy to 28 mpg combined, a 2-mpg improvement. Also new for 2024 is the available Traffic Jam Assist in the Active Driving Display.
