One of the newest three-row SUVs on the market, the Hyundai Palisade is making more waves in its class than some sport utility vehicles that have been around for a long time. Also, due to its newness in its class, it’s already carving a name for itself by becoming popular among consumers fast.

Don’t take our word for it. Check out iSeeCars study on the fastest-selling new and used cars for this year. The Palisade is quickly selling on the used car market, and it’s only been around since 2020.

Where does the Hyundai Palisade fall on the list?

According to iSeeCars, used vehicles take an average of 42 days to sell. On dealer lots, however, the top 20 vehicles, can sell as fast as 31.2 days, which is actually 25.7% faster than normal. Also, looking at their list, you’ll notice a common theme, which is the top-selling used vehicles are SUVs, namely luxury ones.

The Hyundai Palisade falls on the number two spot, which is where it landed in January as well. Kia’s Telluride, which is pretty similar to the Palisade, found its way to the number nine spot in February, which is two places down from the previous month.

The average selling time for used Palisades is 27.5 days, which is a tiny bit less than one day from the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, which is the fastest-selling used vehicle on the market, according to the iSeeCars study.

Does it make sense the Hyundai Palisade would be the second fastest selling SUV?

It’s not really all that surprising that the Palisade would make it pretty high on the list. It is an award winner, after all. One reviewer, gave it a Best SUV of 2020 award, which was for a few different features. One was for its ability to tow up to 5,000 lbs.

Another reason is for its performance. The 3.8-liter V6 engine, the only motor offered for this model, produces 291 hp with 262 lb-ft of torque. Also, upgrading to the all-wheel drivetrain, only costs about $1,000, which is significantly less than what you’d pay for other models in this class.

One of the most impressive features of the Palisade, which really sets it apart from some of its competitors, is the amount of room you get inside the cabin. All three rows of seats have plenty of room to ride comfortably on road trips.

What could it mean for future sales?

The Hyundai Palisade was new for the 2020 model year, so it hasn’t been around all that long, and it hasn’t exactly made a name for itself in the three-row midsize SUV class yet, but it’s not that far off. It’s the second fastest-selling vehicle on the iSeeCars used car list, so it’s obviously doing something right.

Car and Driver feel the Palisade has found its place in the SUV market by offering a more luxurious ride than some of its rivals. In fact, they said that, “every trim is teeming with value.” Hyundai goes all out with some class-leading features that make each model well worth the money.

Having the same infrastructure as the Telluride, also helps boost it toward the top in its class. If it continues to offer upscale amenities that could rival those of the Genesis vehicles, the Palisade could be on its way to be a fast selling new vehicle as well.

The Hyundai Palisade is an impressive three-row SUV that will attract families with its roominess, and adventurers looking to haul their gear with 86.4 cubic feet of storage when you fold down the rear seats.
