Honda has brought some big changes to the popular 2023 Honda Pilot for the new model year. For example, new exterior styling provides a more rugged look than ever before. The front fascia has an all-new grille, the side profile better highlights its extra length, and the rear end has a new style. With the off-road-oriented TrailSport, Pilot owners get more plastic cladding, steel skid plates, 18-inch wheels, and all-terrain tires.

Next, the interior is reworked as well. It has new front-row seats aimed to reduce fatigue and a removable second-row center seat cushion to make a bench seat and easier access to the third row. In addition, the infotainment system is updated with a more modern design. It’s got physical knobs and hard buttons that perfectly balance with the touch controls. Faster software is available on higher trims, and the TrailSport model has a unique interior cabin trim.

Finally, the 2023 Honda Pilot has an all-new powertrain. For the first time, owners can get a 3.5-liter V6 engine that makes 285 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy also sees an improvement, now getting 22 mpg combined in front-wheel drive and 21 mpg combined when equipped with AWD. Opting for the TrailSport model lowers that number to 20 mpg.

What does a 2023 Honda Pilot cost?

In conclusion, the 2023 Honda Pilot Sport base model now starts at $40,445. However, even with the most well-equipped model, the Elite trim, buyers only need to pay $53,325. The entire lineup is reasonably priced and well-equipped. Additionally, many changes for the 2023 model year make the Pilot more desirable. A punchier and more fuel-economical engine, a brand-new exterior design, and an overhauled interior make the Pilot look and feel better than ever.
