Mercedes-Benz has been at the top of the luxury and performance market for quite some time. With a range of vehicles from entry-level luxury to performance supercars like the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT, there isn’t much that the brand doesn’t have to offer. With more than just sleek body lines and comfortable interiors, it’s no surprise that the newest generation of Mercedes-Benz would have some of the best tech features yet, and with the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the future of the brand looks pretty bright.

Inside out

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class has quite the road presence, and while it isn’t as sharp and exotic as some supercars, the smooth body lines and aggressive front fascia are entirely recognizable to the brand. From the outside, it looks like the epitome of every generation of C-Class taken on in a more modern form, reflecting on the car’s heritage while staying up-to-date with newer styles. But sitting down into the interior, you might not feel that way because the revamped interior has high-tech touches that easily compete with futuristic brands like Tesla.

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is high-tech

Without even turning the car on to see all of the features and safety tech that it has to offer, the dashboard itself makes the Mercedes-Benz C-Class look like a spaceship. Smooth interior finishes look both luxurious and modern, with obvious attention to detail on everything, even down to the unique shape of the air vents. The C-Class ditches an overcomplicated dashboard laden with buttons and dials for a large touch screen infotainment system and a digital dashboard that provide all of the features you could need or want.

High-tech safety

We’ve come to expect certain safety features from modern-day cars, no matter the price. Options like backup cameras that were once a higher-end addition are no standard on most new cars, but the Mercedes-Benz C-Class goes above and beyond to provide the driver with just about everything they could be looking for in a car. One of the coolest features you’ve probably never heard of before is the Pre-Safe Impulse Side, which gives the car the ability to detect an oncoming side-impact collision and inflate an air chamber to move the driver and passenger away from the impact.

Along with all of the newest safety features, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, of course, has more standard options like blind-spot detection, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. High-tech features that are newer for the Mercedes-Benz brand include over-the-air updates, much like we see in Tesla cars, augmented video of the car’s surroundings, and voice controls.
