If you’re shopping for a heavy-duty pickup truck, you’ve likely seen the F-350. The 2024 Ford F-350 sits in the middle of the Ford Super Duty lineup between the F-250 and F-450, but in many ways, it’s the most capable Super Duty in the fleet. Let’s look at the F-350 base model and compare its price and features to the range-topping fully loaded 2024 Ford F-350 Limited.

The base-model 2024 Ford F-350 XL price and features

Ford starts pricing for the 2024 Ford Super Duty F-350 XL at $46,015. That entry-level MSRP provides a two-wheel-drive heavy-duty single rear wheel (SRW) pickup truck equipped with a regular two-door cab, seating for up to three adults, and an eight-foot truck bed. Options exist for various combinations of SuperCab or Crew Cab models mated with the eight-foot truck bed or the shorter 6.75-foot version, dual rear wheels, and four-wheel drive, but they drive the price up.

The base F-350 XL powertrain includes a 6.8-liter Flex Fuel V8 backed by a 10-speed automatic transmission with driver-selectable modes for Normal, Eco, Slippery Roads, Tow/Haul, and Trail. However, 4WD models replace Trail with Off-Road mode.

There’s also a 7.3-liter gas engine option, which adds $9,620, or choose from two 6.7-liter diesel engine options: the standard Power Stroke for an additional $9,995 or the High Output Power Stroke for $12,495. All upgraded engine options come backed by the TorqueShift 10-speed automatic transmission instead of the standard TorqueShift-G version.

Available Super Duty option highlights

The Limited trim comes with so many bells and whistles it’s hard to find an option not already included. However, some shoppers will opt for the longer eight-foot bed and the dual-rear-wheel version for more stable towing of larger trailers. Options are more plentiful at lower trim levels.

For comparison, a single rear-wheel Crew Cab 2024 Ford Super Duty F-350 XL includes vinyl seating surfaces and an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen. It has an estimated $69,810 MSRP, including the $1,995 destination fee, with the following added options:

  • Four-wheel drive – $2,845
  • 6.7-liter high-output turbodiesel engine – $12,495
  • Electronic locking 3.55 gear rear axle – $430
  • XL Driver Assist Package – $730
  • Platform running boards – $445
  • Remote start – $250

With several trim levels between the base XL and top Limited trims, savvy shoppers can choose packages to build a 2024 Ford F-350 that meets their needs without paying more for exclusive features. However, the features only the Limited trim provides will be what others desire most. Ultimately, it’s hard to go wrong with America’s best-selling truck line, the Ford F-Series.
