Ford trademarked the “Rattler” name back in July to accompany other special edition names like Raptor, Tremor, and Timberline. Since then, we have wondered what could come of the newly acquired moniker and which future models could potentially inherit it. But now, Ford’s CEO, Jim Farley, just revealed via Twitter that we can expect the Ford F-150 Rattler to be unveiled tomorrow.

There aren’t too many details on the Ford F-150 Rattler yet

While Ford F-150 fans are sitting at the edge of their seats patiently awaiting more details on the Rattler, there’s unfortunately not much to report yet. The Twitter post mainly suggests that we need to “look out for this tomorrow” and that the F-150 Rattler is one that we will be excited to “see on the trail.” Yes, that’s extremely vague, but for some Ford fans, those words are also very promising.

Scrolling through the comments below the post reveals optimistic enthusiasts stating things like “sounds possibly supercharged!” and “It must have the 3.5 Ecoboost cam phasers with that name!” At this point, we can only cross our fingers and hope that the Rattler brings something more in the form of off-road performance.

According to Ford Authority, the Rattler could wind up on other models as well – just like how the Timberline badge ended up on the Expedition and Explorer. But again, we’ll just have to wait and see what tomorrow brings.
