Public opinion aside, the easiest way to determine which small SUV is more popular is to compare their sales numbers. In 2021 Ford sold 62,820 Bronco Sport models in the United States. In 2021 Kia sold 54,154 Soul small SUVs in the United States. The Bronco Sport outsold the Kia Soul in 2021.

In 2022 Ford has already sold 66,157 Bronco Sport models thus far. Kia, on the other hand, has only sold 39,332 Soul models in the U.S. for 2022 as of August. There are still four more months of 2022 to go, but the chances of the Kia Soul outselling the Bronco Sport are slim to none.

The Ford Bronco Sport is the more popular small SUV by the numbers. The Kia Soul tops more SUV ranking lists than the Bronco Sport.

The 2023 Ford Bronco Sport starts at $29,215. The 2023 Kia Soul starts at just $19,790. The Bronco Sport is 173 inches long, 74 inches wide, and 70 inches tall. The Soul is 165 inches long, 71 inches wide, and 63 inches tall.

The Bronco Sport is eight inches longer, three inches wider, and seven inches taller than the tiny Kia Soul. It costs $9,425 more than the Soul.

The Ford Bronco Sport outsells the Kia Soul because of the hype surrounding the Bronco. The Bronco Sport is a more powerful and more capable small SUV. It’s also roomier.

The Kia Soul has been around since 2008. The Bronco Sport is the newer, more exciting small SUV. Many drivers also choose the Bronco Sport because it is the closest Ford Bronco alternative.

According to Car and Driver, the Blue Oval is producing 60s-inspired Ford Bronco, and Ford Bronco Sport models called the Heritage and Heritage Limited Edition trims. These models pay homage to the OG Ford Bronco that has garnered the attention of millions of auto enthusiasts worldwide.
