The idea of finding a cheap SUV feels impossible, but vehicle prices are starting to finally come down. The Jeep Compass is one of the latest vehicles to receive a price cut, but is the starting price still too high? See if the 2024 Jeep Compass is worth it.

How much does the 2024 Jeep Compass cost?

The 2024 Jeep Compass starts at $27,495 with the $1,595 destination fee included. Unfortunately, dealership markups and taxes aren’t included.

But this is a $2,500 price cut compared to the original entry-level 2024 Compass price. Each model has a discount between $2,500 to $2,930 to battle inflation and increase sales.

The Compass Trailhawk starts at $35,490 with the destination fee included, which is a $2,795 decrease. I miss having affordable Jeep models available. In 2015, the Jeep Renegade started at $15,000.

On the other end of the spectrum, the Jeep Grand Wagoneer is the most expensive model in the lineup with a starting price of 93,945 including the $2,000 destination fee.

Also, the Compass better aligns with rivals now. The 2024 Kia Sportage starts at $28,515, the 2024 Nissan Rogue starts at $29,785, and the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek starts at $26,540. The destination fees are included.

The Compass has a standard turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 200 hp and 221 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 8.3 seconds, which is good for its class.

Like the Crosstrek, it has standard all-wheel drive to increase its value. Plus, the Compass can tow up to 2,000 lbs.

Other standard features include 17-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, heated mirrors, cloth upholstery, a 10.1-inch infotainment screen, a six-speaker sound system, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, satellite radio, first and second-row USB ports, and an adjustable load floor.

Standard safety features consist of forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert driver attention warning, and rear seat reminder.

The Compass is pretty loaded compared to rivals. It’s also a bit larger than the discontinued Jeep Renegade. Do you think the prices are fair?
