When it comes to reliable SUVs, finding the best used luxury SUVs can be overwhelming. There are many options, sizes, prices ranges, and even seating configurations. iSeeCars analyzed the average price of three-year-old sport utility vehicles and compared that to the overall quality score to see which options ended up on top.

When it comes to the best used luxury SUVs, iSeeCars has all the data. The BMW X1 is the best subcompact sport utility vehicle with a quality score of 8.6 out of 10. The X1 has good safety scores and more cargo room than its competitors. It also has solid fuel economy. iSeeCars says the average price for a three-year-old BMW X1 is around $36,212.

The Buick Encore came in second with a score of 8.4 out of 10. The Encore has high predicted reliability ratings and plenty of room for passengers. The average price for a 2019 Buick Encore is $23,875, making it pretty affordable. The Audi Q3 is another subcompact option with an overall quality score of 8.3 out of 10. The average used price is slightly higher at $38,050, but it has a long list of safety features.

There are plenty of small and compact luxury SUVs

Look no further than the Acura RDX for a luxury small SUV option. iSeeCars gave it a quality score of 8.6 out of 10 overall. The RDX comes with a high-reliability score and a perfect safety rating of 10 out of 10. The average price for a three-year-old used Acura RDX is $40,095.

The BMW X3 compact SUV was right behind that, with the same overall score of 8.6 out of 10. With room for five passengers and more cargo room than some competitors, it also has the option of a few engine types. The average price for a three-year-old version is $44,655.

Finally, the Audi Q5 received a quality score of 8.4 out of 10. Other notable small and compact SUV options include the Infiniti QX50 and the Volvo XC60.

Looking for a reliable midsize or large sport utility vehicle?

The best used luxury midsize SUVs have room for plenty of people and tons of cargo. iSeeCars found that the Volvo XC90 was the best midsize option with a quality score of 8.9 out of 10. As the size of the sport utility vehicle goes up, so does the price. The average price of a three-year-old XC90 is $53,989.

The Acura MDX and Lexus RX 350 tied for second place with an 8.7 out of 10 quality scores. The average price of a three-year-old MDX is $44,273, while the RX 350 has a bit higher price of $49,057.

Some people might require more room, in which case a large sport utility vehicle is necessary. These often have room for seven or more passengers, plus plenty of cargo. The Lexus LX 570 is the best used large luxury SUV, according to iSeeCars. With an overall quality score of 8.9 out of 10, the LX 570 is known for its reliability. The price of a three-year-old Lexus LX 570 is pretty high, though, at $90,632. Both the Lincoln Navigator and Lincoln Navigator L also made the list, with scores over 8.6 out of 10.

The price of used luxury cars is still fairly high with all of the semiconductor chip shortages, but eventually, that should level out. Until then, keep an eye on the price of three-year-old SUVs and other similar vehicles that might get you more of a bargain on a reliable vehicle.
