The experts at Edmunds broke down each trim level of the 2022 Honda CR-V. If you can swing getting the Touring, it is worth it. Honda equipped this one with all-wheel drive standard and LED headlights. Roof rails, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a nine-speaker audio system add to the fun. A hands-free power tailgate makes loading groceries easier than ever. Plus, passengers can utilize wireless phone charging and leather-trimmed seats.

The 2022 CR-V Touring also has plenty of safety features. A collision mitigation braking system (CMBS), blind-spot warning (BSW), and road departure mitigation system (RDM) work together to keep everyone safe. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) also gave the Top Safety Pick Plus award to the CR-V Touring.

The LX will get you on the road

Finding a used 2022 Honda CR-V LX will probably be the most affordable option to seek out. This is the base-level trim, which hopefully means a better deal down the line. Buyers could opt for all-wheel drive, so you can probably find a used one pretty quickly. It offers 190 hp and 17-inch alloy wheels. The seats are cloth but comfortable, and the CR-V LX has Bluetooth connectivity.

CMBS and RDM are standard safety features, plus the multi-angle rearview camera. ACC and lane-keeping assist (LKA) make the LX a good buy. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave the 2022 CR-V a five-star safety rating.

LX trim starting MSRP: $26,800

The CR-V is a reliable used sport utility vehicle regardless of the trim you go with. And unless the first owner did multiple cross-country drives, some warranty will be left over. Even if it is more expensive up front, a warranty is always an excellent addition to have. Keep an eye out for sales as the holiday season approaches, and more of the 2023 vehicles show up.
