Shopping for a new car when you are tall can be challenging. Most times, tall drivers will jump immediately to the idea of getting a truck or SUV. But, not everyone wants a truck or SUV. Some shoppers want something that is more fun to drive. Tall drivers who want a fun car should avoid these models because they offer less leg room and headroom, making the interior an uncomfortable place to spend time.

Chevrolet Camaro

Sure, even in base form, the Chevrolet Camaro is an exciting and fun-to-drive car. But, if you are on the taller side, the interior may be a cramped place to spend time. The front leg room is surprisingly decent at 43.0-inches, but the lack of headroom, just 38.5-inches, could cause some uncomfortable rides. Don’t think about getting into the rear seat as only children should be there. Seriously, don’t even think about it.

The Porsche 718 Boxster is certainly one of the most fun-to-drive cars, with tight handling and smooth power delivery. For drivers and passengers who are much taller, this small car can be uncomfortable. While there can be a bit of leg room for you to enjoy, the space issue can be compounded because the seats, while plenty adjustable, don’t allow you to move back. Plus, the headroom can be less than ideal.

Toyota Supra

The Toyota Supra was a remarkably popular and sought-after model. It garnered a whole new sense of attention when it came back to the market as a 2020 model. Despite the popularity and driving experience, the new 2022 Toyota Supra is not ideal for tall drivers. There is 42.2-inches of leg room in the front, which is OK for most drivers. But, if you have longer legs, your knees could be at an awkward angle. The lack of headroom could leave your neck at an awkward angle.

The Mazda MX-5 Miata is an outstanding roadster ready to offer you a remarkable driving experience. According to Consumer Reports, this roadster is a fun-to-drive coupe with quick steering. Despite how fun to drive this roadster is, it is tight on space. The lack of headroom is one of the significant issues for tall drivers and passengers.

Honda Insight

If you have been looking for an efficient sedan, you may want to look at a new Honda Insight. But, if you are tall, this sedan may not be a great choice. The leg room in the front and rear is not ideal, with 42.3-inches in the front and just 37.4-inches in the back. That lack of space can make this sedan an uncomfortable place to spend time.
